BioBuzz has a paid internship opportunity this Summer, designed as a structured, high-impact professional development program for recent graduates and graduate students to gain immersive exposure into the AI-innovation economy.


BioBuzz is developing an AI powered talent marketplace and workforce intelligence platform dedicated to better connecting companies with employees and professional services around the world.


The Business Entrepreneurship Fellow Track is designed for individuals interested in the intersection of business strategy, launching an AI-native product and customer success. This role focuses on supporting strategic new AI-powered product launch initiatives to ensure successful launch, adoption and customer success on a new platform that connects companies, talent, and innovation across the Maryland and BioHealth Capital Region - and beyond.


The Intern will contribute by conducting market and competitive research, supporting customer product feedback and improvement activities, engaging with key stakeholders (customers and users) as well as working with the internal product development team to help ensure a positive product experience. This includes working with employers and companies to gaining insight into how life sciences companies hire and access the resources they need to grow.


Through this experience, fellows will develop a strong foundation in strategic thinking, market intelligence, and cross-sector collaboration, while contributing to initiatives that directly impact the company's success.


This role also directly supports BioBuzz’s mission to strengthen the life sciences ecosystem by aligning talent pipelines with industry needs and amplifying opportunities for collaboration and growth.


Fellowship Responsibilities:

Fellows will contribute to BioBuzz initiatives across four primary areas:


1). Customer Discovery & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Engage with stakeholders across the life sciences ecosystem, including:
  • Industry leaders and company representatives
  • Workforce development organizations
  • Academic institutions and training programs
  • Innovation and economic development partners
  • Support customer discovery initiatives
  • Customer & user interviews
  • Product demos
  • Build professional relationships and contribute to ecosystem connectivity


2). Market Research & Competitive Intelligence:

  • Conduct market and competitive research across the life sciences ecosystem, including:
  • Industry segments (biopharma, CDMOs, CROs, startups, service providers)
  • Workforce trends and talent demand
  • Relevant competitive platforms to BioBuzz
  • Analyze key dynamics such as:
  • Talent gaps and workforce needs
  • Company growth strategies and expansion trends
  • Utilize AI tools and data analysis to develop structured outputs such as:
  • Market landscape analyses
  • Customer profiles
  • Workforce and talent insight reports


3). Content Development

  • Utilize AI tools to turn your market research into professional, high quality reports and content for BioBuzz platforms, including:
  • Thought leadership articles
  • Ecosystem analysis summaries
  • Workforce and talent insights
  • Strategic initiative highlights
  • Event recaps and stakeholder engagement summaries


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Recently completed undergraduate degree or currently pursuing a graduate degree (Master’s or equivalent)
  • Strong interest in entrepreneurship, product development, business strategy, consulting
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct research and synthesize complex information utilizing AI and data analysis tools
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with exceptional professionalism and customer service acumen


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Academic or professional background in business, entrepreneurship, public health, economics, engineering, or related field
  • Experience or interest in:
  • Entrepreneurship or product management
  • Strategy, consulting, or business analysis
  • Market research or competitive intelligence
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to engage professionally with diverse stakeholders
  • Experience in:
  • Prior startups
  • Professional customer facing roles
  • Research and analysis
  • Writing or content development
  • Academic or professional strategic projects

Program Type: Paid Professional Fellowship (Summer Internship)

Program Duration: 12 Weeks (June 1st, 2026 - August 21st, 2026)

Time Commitment: 34 hours per week (~400 hours total)

Location: Hybrid. Activities include virtual collaboration, in-person industry events, and engagement with stakeholders across Maryland

Compensation: Paid internship. $25/hr
