POLYMARKET
Senior Media Planner, Strategy & Insights
About Polymarket
Polymarket is the world’s largest prediction market platform. We enable individuals to express views on real-world events by trading on outcomes across politics, economics, sports, culture, and current affairs. Built as a peer-to-peer marketplace with no centralized “house,” Polymarket aggregates diverse opinions into transparent, market-based probabilities that reflect collective expectations about the future.
We’re growing fast, both in terms of volume ($21B traded in 2025) and adoption as an alternative news source. Our ambition is to become a ubiquitous beacon of truth in global media and we need your help adding fuel to the fire.
About the Role
The Growth team owns how Polymarket acquires users and converts attention into volume. We move fast, spend real money across a range of channels and geographies, and hold ourselves to business outcomes, not vanity metrics. The media investment function sits at the center of that, and right now it needs someone who can build the analytical backbone that makes every dollar accountable.
This is not a coordination role. You will own the media plan, the forecast, the measurement approach, and the reconciliation. You will bring a clear recommendation on allocation, hold the line on that allocation once it is set, and explain every variance when we miss.
We are looking for someone who is genuinely restless about finding edge. Polymarket operates in an event-driven, highly seasonal environment where timing and pricing can matter as much as budget size. If you are the kind of person who goes looking for the insight nobody asked for and is willing to kill your own conclusion when the data does not hold, this role will suit you well.
What You’ll Do
- Build the media plan across channels, categories, and geographies, and present a clear, defensible recommendation with the tradeoffs and your point of view, not a menu of options.
- Own the forecasting layer covering spend, volume, acquisition cost, payback, and seasonality, and maintain scenario models that make tradeoffs legible before capital is committed. When we miss a forecast, explain why and make the next model better.
- Pace spend daily and weekly against approved allocations, flag over and under delivery early enough to act, and surface when the actual channel or geographic mix has drifted from the approved plan.
- Lead the measurement approach across mix modeling, incrementality testing, and geographic experiments, and synthesize the outputs into one defensible view of what is working rather than four competing ones.
- Reconcile every media dollar spent, tying platform spend to invoices, agency billing, and the finance ledger, and own accruals, credits, make-goods, and discrepancy resolution through monthly close.
- Hunt continuously for edge in auction dynamics, underpriced inventory, seasonality patterns, and competitive activity, and recommend in-flight reallocation with evidence when the data supports it.
- Build the reporting and analytics layer the team runs on, including dashboards, metric definitions, and a single source of truth that holds up under scrutiny from finance and leadership.
What We’re Looking For
- 6 or more years in media planning, marketing analytics, or growth strategy with real ownership of plans and numbers, not just supporting roles.
- Deep fluency across paid channels including search, social, programmatic, video, audio, and offline, sufficient to pressure test a buyer’s recommendation on the substance.
- Strong quantitative foundation in forecasting and scenario modeling, plus if you have genuine SQL mastery and comfort in BI tooling. You build your own analysis rather than waiting for someone else to pull the data.
- Hands-on experience with mix modeling, incrementality testing, and geographic experiments, and the intellectual honesty to be clear about what each method can and cannot tell you.
- Financial rigor and comfort owning a number that has to tie out, including reconciliation, accruals, and working directly with finance through monthly close.
- Demonstrated ability to compress a complex analysis into a one-page recommendation an executive can act on in five minutes, with a track record of recommendations getting adopted because they are consistently well-built.
- Comfort being the person who says spend is off pace, and the follow-through to make sure it gets corrected without being told twice.
- (Plus) Background in trading, fintech, or event-driven demand businesses where unit economics and payback are scrutinized closely.
- (Plus) Experience building mix modeling in-house or managing a measurement vendor and holding them to a real standard.
- (Plus) Technical range in Python or R, or experience building your own analysis infrastructure.
- (Plus) Direct ownership of or meaningful contribution to a marketing P&L.
