The Role

We’re hiring our first Senior Lifecycle Marketing Manager to build and own the full lifecycle and email marketing program at Instrumentl. Today, email and lifecycle touchpoints exist across several teams and tools. You’ll bring these disparate workstreams together, craft a cohesive strategy, and create a high-performing lifecycle engine that accelerates revenue, activation, retention, and expansion.

What You’ll Do

Build Our First Unified Lifecycle Function

  • Own migration from disparate tools onto single lifecycle platform of choice
  • Create a unified lifecycle roadmap that consolidates efforts currently operating across Marketing, Sales, CS, and Product
  • Audit existing touchpoints, identify gaps and opportunities, and design a seamless customer journey from first touch through renewal and expansion.

Lead Execution & Own the Channel

  • Own the strategy, execution, and optimization of our e-mail channel; collaborate with growth product on in-app
  • Write compelling, on-brand lifecycle content that resonates with grants professionals
  • Build and maintain automated workflows and triggers; partner with RevOps/Engineering for technical support where needed.
  • Ensure deliverability best practices, list hygiene, and infrastructure setup for scalable growth.

Drive Activation, Adoption, and Revenue

  • Design multi-step onboarding and nurture sequences that increase trial activation and conversion, in partnership with CS and sales
  • Own ongoing experimentation: A/B tests, segmentation strategies, journey optimization, and cohort analyses
  • Define success metrics and regularly report on lifecycle program performance.
  • Use data to identify opportunities, prioritize roadmap improvements, and communicate impact to leadership

Who You Are

  • Lifecycle specialist: 5+ years of experience in lifecycle or CRM marketing in B2B SaaS
  • Builder: Proven success establishing or significantly scaling a lifecycle program from scratch (or near-zero).
  • Strategic + hands-on: You can set the roadmap and roll up your sleeves to execute, write copy, build flows, and run experiments.
  • Experimentation-minded: Obsessed with data, segmentation, testing, and continuous improvement.
  • Cross-functional collaborator: Skilled at working with Product, CS, and Sales to align priorities and ship cohesive customer journeys.
  • Customer-centric: You deeply understand user motivations and behavior—and create messaging that speaks to their needs.


Technical & tool-savvy:

Experience with CRM/lifecycle platforms, analytics tools, and email best practices.
