Role Overview
We're seeking a Growth Marketing Manager to serve as the operational backbone of our growth team—managing new customer acquisition efforts across all products from media buying through messaging testing to implementation of learnings across the marketing funnel.
This is a hands-on execution role with real strategic exposure. You'll work directly with our CMO, managing 5-7 active acquisition funnels, running split tests, coordinating with internal teams and external agencies, and building the systems that make our growth engine run smoothly. Think of yourself as the person who makes sure nothing falls through the cracks while the growth team scales.
This role is perfect for someone early in their career who is smart, ambitious, and entrepreneurial—someone who wants to learn how a high-performing DTC growth operation works from the inside. You'll get your hands dirty with everything from Meta campaign setup to landing page QA to preparing marketing reports for leadership.
Key Responsibilities Media Buying & Funnel Management:
● Manage Meta ad campaigns across 5-7 active new customer acquisition funnels
● Monitor campaign performance daily and make adjustments to spend targets as directed
by the CMO
● Set up new campaigns following established frameworks (we use autobid—no complex
manual bidding required)
● Review landing pages and related assets for quality, accuracy, and functionality
● Ensure all funnels are performing and flag issues proactively
Testing & Optimization:
● Execute Intelligems split tests designed by the CMO
● Monitor tests daily and stop tests that reach statistical significance
● Communicate results to the CMO and internal/external stakeholders within 48 hours of
test completion
● Document all test results and learnings in a centralized repository
● Over time, develop the ability to design your own test hypotheses
Cross-Functional Coordination:
● Serve as the liaison between the CMO and internal team members (copywriter, designer, social media manager)
● Communicate test learnings to relevant stakeholders so they can update assets accordingly
● Coordinate with external creative agencies to ensure learnings are implemented in ad creative
● Manage the marketing calendar and ensure timely delivery of all initiatives
● Prepare marketing reports and presentations for leadership and stakeholders
Systems & Documentation:
● Build and maintain SOPs for all recurring marketing processes
● Create and organize a centralized marketing asset library
● Develop stakeholder communication templates and reporting frameworks
● Document everything so institutional knowledge is captured and processes are
repeatable
You'll Thrive in This Role If:
● You have initiative—you relentlessly pursue goals without needing to be pushed
● When you don't know how to do something, you figure it out yourself or get the help you
need
● You're highly structured and organized—you have systems for tracking work and priorities
● You're logical and data-driven—you're comfortable interpreting dashboards and drawing
conclusions
● You take direction well and know how to stay in your lane while executing
● You see AI as a superpower and already use it daily to accelerate your work
● You're excited by fast-paced DTC environments where things change quickly
● You want to learn how growth marketing really works by being in the trenches
● You're hungry to eventually own a product line's growth, but you're willing to earn it
● You can handle administrative tasks without feeling like they're beneath you
● You get energy from making things run smoothly and crossing items off the list
You'll Struggle in This Role If:
● You need to be the one making strategic decisions—this is primarily an execution role
● You're uncomfortable with ambiguity or figuring things out on your own
● You think administrative or coordination work is beneath you
● You need extensive hand-holding, supervision, or structured training programs
● You're not comfortable with AI tools or see them as threatening rather than empowering
● You prefer slow, methodical environments over fast-paced iteration
● You want to specialize deeply in one area rather than work across the funnel
● You struggle to stay organized when managing multiple concurrent projects
● You're looking for a pure strategy role with a team to execute your ideas
Qualifications
● ~3 years of experience in growth marketing, performance marketing, DTC marketing, or related roles
● Experience at an in-house DTC/e-commerce brand strongly preferred
● Demonstrated AI proficiency—you already use AI tools daily to accelerate your work
● Strong project management skills with experience coordinating across multiple
stakeholders
● Solid Shopify knowledge—comfortable making basic landing page edits using page
builders
● Data fluency—can interpret dashboards, pull basic reports, and draw actionable
conclusions
● Excellent written communication skills (AI-assisted is fine, but you need to produce clear,
actionable updates)
● Highly organized with a track record of managing multiple concurrent projects
● Basic HTML/CSS knowledge (helpful but not required)
● Experience with Meta Ads Manager (helpful but not required—we can train you)
● Experience with A/B testing tools like Intelligems (helpful but not required)
● Bonus: Experience with supplements, health/wellness, or subscription businesses
● Willingness to travel to Bend, OR 3 times per year for on-site meetings, and attend one
annual retreat (in locations like Palm Springs, Mexico, etc.)
Compensation
$100,000 base salary

● Free products
● A free Kindle + unlimited Kindle books
● Up to $1,000/year for continuing education and professional development
● Exciting growth potential and opportunity—with a great brand making products that
change lives
● No work schedule or monitoring of hours. You create your own working environment. (We
expect you to be available for at least part of the day between 9-5 PT.)
● Flexible work arrangements. Unlimited time off. We care about achievements and results,
not punching the clock.
● A passionate but sociable and friendly team committed to making an impact
