Role Summary 

The Senior Product Designer at Renew Home will bring our mission to life by designing intelligent, consumer-facing experiences from concept to launch. This role blends strong product thinking, systems design, and emerging AI interaction paradigms.

You’ll work at the intersection of design, data, and AI to craft personalized, adaptive experiences that evolve with user needs. The ideal candidate is both a systems thinker and a hands-on maker—comfortable shaping ambiguous problem spaces, leveraging AI within their own workflow, and partnering deeply with product and engineering to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions.

What You Will Do

• Own end-to-end design of new features and enhancements from early concept through production, ensuring a cohesive, intelligent, and engaging user experience
• Design for AI-powered experiences, including adaptive recommendations, agent-driven flows, and guidelines for generative interfaces
• Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering to shape product strategy, define features, and ensure technical feasibility
• Translate complex systems into intuitive experiences, mapping flows across deterministic and probabilistic (AI-driven) interactions
• Create high-quality design artifacts including user flows, information architecture, wireframes, prototypes, and production-ready designs
• Prototype and experiment rapidly, leveraging AI tools for ideation, content generation, prototyping, and research synthesis
• Continuously evolve workflows, identifying opportunities to integrate new tools, including AI-powered design and development capabilities
• Present and articulate design decisions clearly to cross-functional stakeholders, grounding work in user needs, data, and business impact
• Plan and conduct user research, synthesizing insights into actionable design improvements
• Contribute to and scale our design system, partnering with engineering to ensure robust implementation, consistency, and performance across platforms
• Strengthen our design culture, contributing to critiques, sharing AI design best practices, and elevating team craft

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Product Design, UX Design, or similar roles
• Portfolio demonstrating strong end-to-end product thinking, measurable impact, and use of AI tools within your design workflow (such as ideation, prototyping, or design-to-code processes)
• Experience designing AI-powered products, including generative UI, recommendation systems, or agentic interactions (e.g., copilots, assistants, automation flows)
• Proven ability to simplify complex technical systems, including ambiguity introduced by AI-driven or non-deterministic behaviors
• Strong systems thinking, with the ability to design across flows, states, and edge cases
• Experience collaborating deeply with Product Managers and Engineers to ship high-quality, scalable products
• Technical fluency in design systems, including component architecture, tokens, documentation, and close collaboration with engineering on implementation
• Strong interaction and visual design skills, with attention to detail and craft
• Fluency in Figma and modern prototyping tools
• Ability to work autonomously, structure ambiguous problems, and drive projects forward
• Excellent communication and storytelling skills, able to explain rationale clearly and influence decisions
• Collaborative mindset: low ego, high ownership, curious, and continuously learning

Bonus

• Familiarity with LLM capabilities and limitations, prompt design, and evaluation of AI outputs
• Proficiency in UX writing, especially for AI-driven interactions (tone, trust, explainability)
• Experience in startup or scaling environments, where ambiguity and speed are key
