About the Role

Creative People is partnering with a high-growth FinTech brand to place a sharp, forward-thinking SEO & Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) Specialist on a W2 contract basis. As the search landscape rapidly evolves — with AI tools like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews reshaping how users find information — this role sits at the cutting edge of organic discovery.


You'll own integrated strategies that drive visibility across both traditional search engines and emerging AI-powered answer platforms. From experimentation to content auditing to cross-functional communication, this is an opportunity to build a modern search growth engine from the inside.


What You'll Do

  • Manage SEO and answer-engine optimization to ensure the brand appears in AI overviews, featured snippets, conversational search, and other evolving search experiences — with a clear eye on customer acquisition impact.
  • Lead experimentation efforts to identify, test, and refine strategies across GEO, AEO, and SEO channels.
  • Create structured, intent-driven content that resonates with both human readers and AI-powered systems.
  • Audit existing content to identify visibility gaps and drive projects to close them.
  • Collaborate with the in-house editorial team to develop, review, and optimize blogs and landing pages.
  • Build and refine analytics and performance tracking frameworks, translating insights into clear next steps for technical and content teams.
  • Communicate cross-functionally about strategy, tactics, impact, and the evolving search landscape.


What We're Looking For

  • 3+ years of hands-on SEO, content strategy, or web optimization experience with a strong track record in emerging search practices.
  • Genuine interest in GEO and AEO — you understand ranking signals, algorithm behavior, and how AI is reshaping how people find answers.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to derive clear insights from complex data.
  • Excellent communication skills — you can break down technical concepts for non-specialist stakeholders and move teams to action.
  • A forward-looking, experimental mindset with a hunger to test new approaches before they become conventional wisdom.


Bonus Points

  • Experience in FinTech, mobile-first platforms, or regulated industries.
  • Curiosity about the technical evolution of search in the age of generative AI and large language models.
