Role: Performance Creative Strategist

Location: El Segundo, CA

Hybrid role in office 3x per week. 

Reports to: CMO 

Responsibilities

  • Own day-to-day performance media creative execution and project management of conversion-driven advertising creative 
  • Generate innovative ideas for static, GIF, and video ad creatives, developing clear briefs that translate strategy into high-performing paid media assets.
  • Write compelling hooks, ad concepts, scripts, and creator briefs for video ads, UGC, founder-led content, product demos, and performance-driven social content.
  • Analyze ad account performance to identify low-hanging fruit and optimize winning creatives, personas, hooks, formats, messages, and offers.
  • Partner closely with Growth, Ecommerce, Brand, and Creative leadership to execute against performance-driven creative strategies.
  • Brief and manage resources including editors, designers, art directors, and video editors using tools like Frame.io; oversee content from concept through delivery and asset organization.
  • Source, film or produce content from existing assets, internal talent, founder/team content, customer testimonials, influencers, affiliates, and external creators.
  • Coordinate with the brand team to identify influencers and creators to develop whitelisted and paid media-ready content, including identifying high-performing creators and refining briefs, hooks, and messaging.
  • Develop and iterate on both existing footage and net-new content, including in-office shoots, product moments, founder-led content, mobile-first video, and UGC-style creative.
  • Provide ongoing creative performance insights, testing learnings, and recaps to the performance marketing team to improve creative win rates.
  • Stay deeply current on DTC, supplement, wellness, TikTok Shop, Meta, creator, and performance creative trends.

Candidate Profile

  • Strong track record of creating wide ranging social ad content that converts at a high win rate 
  • Background in DTC subscription brands preferred
  • Comfortable producing and creating content directly, including mobile filming, light editing, content sourcing, and creative assembly, while also leading broader creative strategy.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-moving, lean, high-growth environment.
  • AI-forward mindset — experience or openness to leveraging generative AI and automation tools to achieve faster results
