About the role
A fast-growing CMS company is looking for a Senior Designer / Art Director to partner closely with the Creative Director and help drive high-level brand and marketing work across the company. This person should be able to take a project, run with it independently, and deliver strong, polished creative with minimal hand-holding.
This is a strong fit for someone who blends brand thinking, strong design craft, and conceptual range — someone who can work across digital, events, merch, and campaign systems while staying true to an evolving brand.
What you’ll do
- Partner with the Creative Director on brand and campaign execution
- Lead design work across:
- brand applications
- event creative
- merch and physical collateral
- web and digital design
- mini-rebrands or visual systems for specific launches/events
- Translate existing brand guidelines into compelling creative across formats
- Develop visually strong, fast-turn concepts when timelines are tight
- Create work that feels design-forward and culturally aware, not generic “tech company” creative
- Work collaboratively with a small marketing/brand team and contribute to a growing design function
What they’re looking for
- Senior-level designer or art director with strong hands-on execution
- Able to work independently and self-direct without heavy oversight
- Strong eye for typography, layout, brand systems, and visual quality
- Strong conceptual thinker who can turn ideas into distinctive creative
- Comfortable working across brand, digital, physical, and event-related design
- Web sensibility is important; merch experience is a plus
- Figma proficiency is important
- Someone fast, collaborative, visually sharp, and reliable under pressure
Ideal profile
- Feels like an ACD-level creative partner
- Can balance strategy, taste, and execution
- Understands how to work inside a brand system while pushing the work forward
- Thrives in startup environments where priorities move quickly
Contract details
- 20 hours/week to start
- 3-month initial contract
- Remote with flexible schedule
- Preference for West Coast, but East Coast is acceptable;
- Potential to convert to full-time if the fit is strong
