This is a part-time contractor role. Eastern and Central time zones preferred to better serve our European efforts.


About the Team: 

As part of the Marketing team's CRM function, this role focuses on executing front-line communications to users across various product lines. The team is responsible for implementing all global customer messaging via email, push, and in-app channels, with an eye towards evolving business needs and new channels. We aim to take complex, high-impact campaigns from concept to execution, engaging and delighting customers. This involves a deep understanding of customer segmentation, customer marketing, and CRM. We collaborate closely with dedicated design, copy, and analytics teams to craft customer messages, promote usage, and track results that drive growth and retention.


About the Role:

The CRM Operations Contractor plays a crucial role within the Taskrabbit marketing team, focusing on optimizing the broader CRM ecosystem. This position involves supporting campaign operations and execution across CRM and web/app experience development. The contractor will be responsible for maintaining scalable processes, overseeing reporting for campaigns, list growth, and promotional usage, managing CRM tools, and consistently improving team efficiency to ultimately drive customer engagement and retention. A foundational understanding of email and lifecycle marketing best practices, combined with an inquisitive and detail-oriented approach, is essential.



Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with CRM, product marketing, and other cross-functional marketing teams to scope and execute campaign requests, translating creative into the marketing automation suite (Iterable).
  • Learn and optimize automated marketing workflows for collecting leads, nurturing new users, and customer engagement, including executing email marketing campaigns, A/B testing, and utilizing data.
  • Manage and accelerate the end-to-end email production process, ensuring campaigns align with best practices for deliverability and sender reputation.
  • Maintain and optimize the CRM data integrity, segmentation accuracy, and efficient user management, including supporting tracking and attribution reporting and building integrations.
  • Leverage automation and AI to support testing, customer segmentation with the objective of improving campaign performance
  • Ensure high performance, identify opportunities to improve existing campaigns, and implement technical email components.
  • Conduct quality checks on work, ensure email metrics are reflective of actual performance, and verify data flow to analytics reports.


Requirements:

  • Minimum one year of campaign management experience within a modern CRM platform (e.g., Iterable (preferred), Braze, HubSpot, Marketo).
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • A proactive, results-driven, and analytical mindset with a passion for digital marketing, AI and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent organizational, project management, and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and provide constructive feedback.
  • Knowledgeable in email personalization, segmentation, and dynamic content strategies.
  • Strong understanding of A/B testing, experimentation methodologies, and performance reporting.
  • Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS for email formatting and template creation.
  • Familiarity with email analytics tools.
  • Knowledge of compliance regulations like CAN-SPAM, GDPR, and CCPA 
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience.


Nice to have skills:

  • Experience with Sigma, Iterable, SendGrid, Segment, Mixpanel, Litmus, Snowflake, UiPath, Gemini, ChatGPT, other AI tools
  • Familiarity with a marketplace business model and a global brand
  • Love collaborating together with a tight-knit team
