As our first Product Design Lead, you’ll have the incredible opportunity and autonomy to shape both the product and the team. 

About the Role

We’re looking for a Product Design Lead to own and drive product design end-to-end. As the second design hire, you'll work hand in hand with our Head of Design to shape the user experience from 0 to 1 for new features, while also elevating our existing product. You’ll work with a tight-knit product and engineering team that values open communication and cross-functional collaboration. We move quickly to solve a wide range of complex product challenges with a laser focus on end-user experience. This role is highly autonomous and hands-on, requiring a strong individual contributor who can execute quickly and help define product direction.

What You’ll Do

• Contribute strategic thinking to product features and roadmap while tackling complex problems
• Design highly intuitive products and features for our B2B app as well as our worker-facing B2C app
• Own the overall user experience
• Drive user research efforts in partnership with product, conducting interviews, usability testing, and leveraging analytics to inform decisions.
• Partner closely with product and engineers to brainstorm, define, and implement new features and offerings
• Navigate ambiguity, iterating rapidly based on user insights, data, and business needs

What We’re Looking For

• Strong interaction design skills
• 5+ years of experience, preferably at a SaaS or consumer technology company as a product designer, ideally at a senior level or higher
• Experience building full 0-1 products as the lead designer
• Ability to execute quickly, working with partial or evolving information
• A scrappy, adaptable mindset, comfortable shipping an MVP and iterating over time
• Comfortable designing intuitive and modern products outside an existing design system
• Fluency in Figma and prototyping tools
• Experience at a fast-moving startup would be a plus
