To support our continued growth, Timeline® is seeking a Senior Manager, Retention to join our Growth team. In this role, you will own and scale our retention strategy across email and SMS, driving repeat purchase, reducing churn, and improving lifetime value across our brands.

 

You will be the primary stakeholder for retention channel performance, responsible for strategy, execution, and optimization as we scale our ESP and lifecycle infrastructure. This role reports to the Director of Lifecycle and works closely with Growth, CRO, Creative, and Analytics teams.

 

What You’ll Do

·      Own and manage the email and SMS retention strategy across Timeline® brands, including campaign calendars, automation, and experimentation

·      Develop and execute segmentation, personalization, and A/B testing strategies to improve conversion, repeat rate, and customer lifetime value

·      Oversee end-to-end campaign execution, partnering with design and copy to ensure all communications are on-brand, polished, and performance-driven

·      Build and optimize customer journeys across lifecycle stages to improve new customer conversion, retention, and churn reduction

·      Partner closely with Growth and CRO teams to align retention strategies with acquisition insights and funnel performance

·      Analyze channel performance on a weekly basis, collaborating with Analytics to refine reporting and implement data-driven optimizations.

·      Monitor email deliverability and ensure compliance with CAN-SPAM, TCPA, and other relevant regulations.

·      Evaluate, test, and implement new retention opportunities, tools, and channels as we scale

·      Contribute to the evolution of Timeline®’s retention infrastructure, including ESP strategy and process improvements.

 

What We’re Looking For

·      5+ years of experience leading email and SMS retention marketing for DTC and/or subscription brands

·      Hands-on experience managing lifecycle programs in Klaviyo and PostScript (or comparable ESP/SMS platforms)

·      Strong expertise in customer journey mapping and orchestrating personalized experiences across retention channels

·      Proven track record of building high-impact retention programs that drive repeat purchase and reduce churn

·      Experience running structured A/B tests and translating results into actionable strategy

·      Comfort owning and reporting on key retention KPIs and using insights to guide decision-making

·      Strong understanding of email deliverability best practices

·      Familiarity with Direct Mail platforms (PostPilot, Poplar, or similar) is a plus

What you can expect

·      Base salary range: $120,000 – $145,000 (dependent on experience, location, and qualifications)
