Social & Content Lead

Location: Remote (US time zones) | Reports to: Head of Brand Marketing

Who we are

FODZYME is an enzyme blend clinically shown to break down FODMAPs—the fermentable

carbs in foods like garlic, onion, wheat, and beans that trigger bloating, gas, and pain for the 1 in

7 adults living with IBS. Think Lactaid but for dozens more trigger foods. Our patent-pending

formulation is backed by peer-reviewed clinical data, and that evidence base is compounding

every year.

We are growing fast and profitably. We have real product-market fit, a passionate customer

base, and a category we are actively defining. We are hiring a Social & Content Lead to own

FODZYME's organic social and content strategy across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube,

and more—someone who can translate the science of what we do into content people actually

want to consume.

The role:

You will manage FODZYME's organic social and content strategy end-to-end, including our

point of view, editorial voice, content calendar, recurring formats and franchises, copywriting,

community engagement, and reporting.

Our current focus has been on Instagram and TikTok, but we see a growing opportunity on

YouTube too. You'll partner closely with the Head of Marketing on brand voice, the Head of

Creator Partnerships on how creator content integrates into owned channels, and our copywriter

for bigger strategic bets—though you are a strong writer in your own right.

This isn’t a role for someone who wants a ton of direction, a calendar to maintain, or a playbook

to follow. We need someone who can harness a strong point of view and build the system that

turns FODZYME into a brand people come back for.

Who you are

● You have 4+ years of hands-on organic social and content experience at a DTC brand

or agency working with DTC clients. Health, wellness, supplements, or food experience

is a strong plus.

● You are strong on Instagram and TikTok (YouTube a plus). You know the native

formats, the algorithm, and the trends. You have grown followership yourself and you

can point to specific content that performed well vs. didn’t. You know what performs on

TikTok vs. Instagram and you shape content for each platform's native behavior.

● You are an exceptional writer and storyteller. You can define a brand voice and

maintain it across formats and franchises. You think in hooks and rhythms and you can

articulate why one version of copy works and another doesn't.

● You’re a systems thinker. You think beyond one-off posts into recurring formats,

content franchises, or repeatable serieses that compound audience trust over time.

● You are comfortable in front of the camera or behind it. You do not have to be the

on-camera talent, but you should be comfortable briefing short-form content, capturing

your own footage when needed, and doing light editing.

● You are a community builder. You respond to comments quickly, warmly, and

on-brand, and you flag patterns and pain points back to the team. FODZYME customers

are real people navigating a condition that affects their daily lives. Empathy shows up in

the way you engage with them.

● You have a pulse on where our people spend time online. Reddit threads about IBS,

TikTok comments on gut health videos, Instagram wellness communities, dietitian

networks, etc. You know how to listen, learn, and act on what you find.

● You are analytical. You can read platform analytics, spot what’s working, and make

decisions based on data. You know what a good engagement rate looks like in our

category and you report on the numbers weekly.

● You are comfortable in a regulated category. FODZYME is a dietary supplement,

which means there are real constraints on what can and cannot be said on social. You

treat FDA/FTC compliance as a hard line, not a suggestion.

● You thrive in a startup environment. You can operate independently and are

comfortable with fast pace, frequent change, and working without a playbook. You take

feedback well, flag what is not working, and bring an experimental framework to the job.

What you’ll do

Own the strategy and content system

● You will execute FODZYME's organic social and content strategy across Instagram,

TikTok, YouTube, and web with room to expand into new platforms.

● You will build and manage the content calendar around brand priorities, product

launches, partnerships, cultural moments, product education, and thought leadership

opportunities.

● You will establish content pillars that ladder up to a coherent brand narrative.

Steward the editorial voice

● You will ensure a consistent voice across every piece of content that crosses your desk.

● You can turn science-forward language into something warm, inspiring, and human

without losing rigor.

● You will uplevel writing from AI drafts, freelancers, and teammates.

Create and direct the content

● Write the majority of captions, hooks, and short-form scripts yourself.

● Brief short-form video content.

● Ensure visual and verbal brand consistency across every platform.

Grow and engage the community

● Grow follower base and engagement across all organic channels.

● Identify high-value community members and surface opportunities for UGC, testimonials,

and surprise-and-delight moments.

● Monitor relevant online spaces (Reddit, TikTok comment culture, IBS and FODMAP

communities, dietitian networks) to inform creative direction.

Measure and report

● Establish KPIs and hold yourself accountable to them.

● Track and report on organic social performance weekly: follower growth, engagement

rate, top-performing content, community sentiment.

● Translate insights into learnings and double down on what's working.

What we believe

The FODZYME team is an incredible place to work. We hire the best and we expect a lot—of

ourselves and of each other. The standard is high because the work matters, and because we

have seen what is possible when a small team of excellent people is fully aligned on a mission

this meaningful.

You will be trusted.

You will have impact.

You will be empowered.

You will be expected to deliver.

If this energizes you, please apply and tell us what you would do in your first 30 days. We are

all-in on building together.

● Salary: $125,000-$150,000 USD

● 401(k) with employer matching

● 100% employer-paid health insurance for employees

● Education stipend for professional development

● Unlimited/flexible PTO
