Studio Designer - Contract
Apply for this job

About the Role

We’re looking for a production-focused Presentation Designer to support heavy new business and day-to-day deck work. This is an execution-heavy role: formatting, building, and finessing large, complex presentations under tight deadlines, not a concepting or creative director role.

You’ll work closely with the presentation and new business teams to turn content and templates into clear, polished decks in Google Slides and PowerPoint.

What You’ll Do

  • Build, format, and refine presentation decks (often 100+ pages) in Google Slides and PowerPoint
  • Convert decks between platforms and templates (e.g., Google Slides to PowerPoint, into client templates)
  • Execute high-volume presentation work with strong attention to detail and consistency
  • Apply existing templates and visual systems, ensuring brand consistency across large decks
  • Juggle 2+ projects at a time, prioritizing work based on urgency and deadlines
  • Handle a mix of turnaround times:
  • Same-day or overnight rush decks
  • Multi-day design and formatting projects
  • Collaborate with senior presentation designers and new business teams to support pitches and internal needs

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience:
  • Proven presentation design background (agency, in-house, or similar)
  • Recent, hands-on experience working in Google Slides and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated ability to handle large decks (ideally 100+ pages) under pressure
  • Skills & Traits:
  • Exceptional attention to detail, layout, and type in presentation formats
  • High endurance for repetitive formatting and long decks
  • Strong technical skills with slide masters, templates, and file conversions
  • Organized, dependable, and calm under tight, sometimes “painful” deadlines
  • Comfortable juggling multiple asks and reprioritizing quickly
  • Level & Profile:
  • Mid-level or strong junior presentation designer
  • Not a fit for candidates coming from Creative Director or Senior Art Director roles looking for conceptual work
  • Genuinely interested in and motivated by presentation-heavy, execution-driven work

Working Model & Culture

  • Hybrid: 2 to 3 days onsite per week in the NYC office
  • Most of the team is in Tuesday and Thursday, but days are flexible
  • Hours:
  • Generally in by about 10am, with flexibility based on workload and deadlines
  • Culture & Perks:
  • Relaxed environment, no dress code (Jordans and tie-dye welcome)
  • Weekly happy hours on Thursdays and Fridays starting at 4pm
  • Subsidized lunch program with pre-ordered options
  • Agency events and parties throughout the year, including a major Founders Day celebration in April

Compensation

  • Hourly rate: $40 to $45 per hour, depending on experience and fit

Process

  • Interview process:
  1. 30 to 45 minute virtual interview with the hiring manager
  2. Onsite interview with the hiring manager and New Business Director

How to Apply

  • Portfolio or samples of presentation work are required (Google Slides or PowerPoint decks)
  • Include examples that show:
  • Large deck builds and formatting
  • Use of templates and brand systems
  • Any high-volume or quick-turn presentation projects

If you thrive on making complex decks clear, consistent, and beautiful under pressure, and you actually like presentation work, this role is for you.
