A well-established dental lab in West Hills is seeking an experienced Implant Designer to join its digital team. This role focuses on advanced design and fabrication of implant restorations, including full-arch and All-on-X workflows, using 3Shape and Exocad. You’ll collaborate closely with clinicians and technicians while ensuring every case meets the highest standards of accuracy, fit, and esthetics.

What You’ll Do

  • Design and oversee implant restorations including crowns, bridges, and abutments using 3Shape and Exocad
  • Interpret clinical prescriptions, lab slips, and dental impressions to produce accurate, high-quality restorations
  • Plan and design surgical guides to support precise implant placement
  • Supervise daily implant department workflow, supporting and mentoring team members
  • Collaborate with clinicians and lab leadership to align designs with treatment plans
  • Provide technical guidance on advanced implant procedures and emerging technologies
  • Perform quality checks to ensure accuracy, fit, and esthetic excellence
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during design and fabrication
  • Maintain and calibrate design equipment, monitor implant component inventory, and report shortages
  • Participate in professional development to stay current with implant innovations


What We’re Looking For

  • Advanced knowledge of implant dentistry, including surgical components and restorative design
  • Extensive experience in dental lab implant procedures and advanced restorations
  • Proficiency with implant planning software and CAD/CAM systems (3Shape, Exocad, or equivalent)
  • Ability to read and interpret prescriptions, lab slips, and technical drawings
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a commitment to precision and esthetics
  • Strong understanding of dental terminology and implant restoration principles
  • Proven leadership and team management abilities in a lab environment


Knowledge and Abilities Required

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong planning, organization, and time management with the ability to prioritize effectively
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a high-performance team setting
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and adherence to lab quality standards and values


Nonessential Skills and Experience

  • Experience with complex implant cases and advanced restoration techniques
  • Familiarity with emerging implant technologies and materials
  • Additional background in dental prosthetics manufacturing is an asset


Compensation & Benefits

  • $30 to $45/hr., based on experience
