HR Business Partner – Midlands (Multi-Site)

Salary: £45,000 – £50,000 DOE

Benefits: £5,000 car allowance or company car, enhanced pension, life assurance, and additional benefits

Contract: Permanent, Full-Time

Location: Midlands-based (covering sites across the East Midlands, Milton Keynes, and occasionally the North West)

Hybrid Working: Approx. 2 days per week from home


About the Role

We’re working with a leading national organisation to recruit a talented HR Business Partner to support multiple operational sites across the Midlands and beyond.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HR professional who enjoys a varied, hands-on role partnering with managers to deliver practical and effective people solutions. The position offers an excellent balance between on-site engagement and home-based flexibility, typically requiring travel 2–3 days per week.


Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with site management teams to deliver the people plan and drive HR initiatives that support business goals.
  • Lead on the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, development, performance management, and employee relations.
  • Provide expert HR advice, ensuring compliance with UK employment law and internal policies.
  • Support managers through employee relations issues including disciplinaries, grievances, and appeals.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with Employee Representative bodies.
  • Coach and upskill line managers to enhance leadership capability and drive a high-performance culture.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider HR team to ensure consistent and inclusive practices across all sites.


About You

You’ll be an experienced HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-site environment. You’re confident in influencing at all levels, balancing operational needs with a people-first approach.


Essential Experience:

  • Proven experience as an HR Business Partner across multiple sites.
  • Strong generalist HR knowledge including recruitment, performance management, reward, and employee relations.
  • In-depth understanding of UK employment law and HR best practice.
  • Demonstrated success implementing people initiatives aligned to business strategy.
  • Experience managing complex employee relations cases.


Desirable:

  • CIPD or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience working within a unionised environment.
  • Track record of supporting successful culture change initiatives.
