Principal Investing & Portfolio Strategy
H9 Talent Solutions is working with a high-growth investment platform to appoint a Senior Vice President (SVP). Reporting to the Director of Investments, the SVP will play a pivotal leadership role across deal origination, execution and portfolio value creation. This is a high-impact principal investing position suited to an experienced investment banker, private equity professional or corporate investor seeking strategic influence and operational exposure.
Key Responsibilities
Deal Origination & Strategy
- Source and develop investment opportunities across target sectors.
- Build and maintain relationships with founders, intermediaries, institutional investors and co-investors.
Due Diligence & Investment Committee
- Lead end-to-end due diligence including financial modelling, valuation, structuring and risk assessment.
- Prepare investment memoranda and present recommendations to the Investment Committee.
Execution & Negotiation
- Drive transaction execution, including term sheet negotiation and oversight of legal and tax advisors.
- Manage complex deal dynamics to optimise risk-adjusted returns.
Portfolio Value Creation
- Partner with portfolio leadership teams on growth strategy and performance improvement.
- Monitor financial performance and value creation milestones.
Leadership
- Mentor junior investment professionals and contribute to firm-wide strategic initiatives.
Candidate Profile
- 7+ years’ experience in investment banking (M&A / ECM / DCM), private equity, growth equity, corporate development or principal investing.
- Proven track record of sourcing and executing complex transactions.
- Strong financial modelling and valuation expertise.
- Commercially astute with sound judgment and strategic thinking.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Established network across intermediaries, sponsors and operators.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to manage multiple workstreams.
Education
Undergraduate degree in Finance, Economics or related field required. MBA, CFA or equivalent preferred.
