Role: Senior Engineering Manager
Location: Austin, TX
Senior Engineering Manager will be responsible for leading all electrical engineering activities for utility-scale solar/BESS power plant projects in U.S. This role provides technical leadership across project development, detailed design, construction, commissioning, and operations, ensuring compliance with U.S. electrical codes, grid requirements, and company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical direction and expertise for both new solar, BESS etc. projects and existing plant operations.
- Collaborate with project managers, procurement teams, to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of projects.
- Coordinate technical activities with EPC contractors, equipment vendors, utilities, and regulatory authorities.
- Evaluate and implement the latest technologies to improve plant performance, efficiency, and sustainability.
- Oversee engineering studies, feasibility analyses, and detailed design reviews.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant engineering standards, codes, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines.
- Monitor and improve the technical performance of operating power plants, proposing optimization strategies.
- Develop and maintain engineering documentation, reports, and technical specifications.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (Master’s degree preferred)
- Minimum 15+ years of professional electrical engineering experience
- 5+ years of experience in utility-scale solar power plant projects
- Proven experience in engineering management and team leadership
- Strong knowledge of MV/HV systems, substations, protection & control, and grid interconnection
- In-depth understanding of U.S. electrical codes and standards (NEC, IEEE)
- Experience with ERCOT and Texas grid interconnection requirements
- Experience working with EPC contractors and field construction teams
- Strong skills in technical documentation, design review, and approval processes

- 17.5% of annual base salary as bonus at target level
