Project Planner

Overview

We are supporting a leading engineering contractor in their search for a skilled Planner to support delivery activities on one of the largest offshore wind developments in the world. This role is ideal for an experienced planner with a strong background in large-scale energy or infrastructure projects, particularly within the offshore or renewable sectors.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, update, and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6.
  • Work closely with project managers, engineers, and construction teams to capture accurate progress and forecast project timelines.
  • Analyse schedule performance, identify deviations, and propose corrective actions where required.
  • Support the production of project reporting including performance dashboards, critical path analysis, look-ahead schedules, and resource/cost-loaded plans where applicable.
  • Integrate planning data from subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to maintain a fully aligned master schedule.
  • Participate in project meetings, providing clarity on programme risks, opportunities, and mitigation measures.
  • Ensure schedule compliance with project governance, contractual requirements, and client expectations.
  • Support change management processes, assessing time impacts and maintaining accurate documentation.
  • Contribute to planning strategy for future phases and continuous improvement across the project controls function.


Required Experience & Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Project Planner within offshore wind, renewable energy, heavy engineering, or major infrastructure projects.
  • Strong capability with Primavera P6 (essential).
  • Understanding of project controls principles including scheduling, progress measurement, earned value, and risk awareness.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, construction sequences, and technical requirements.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to present complex schedule information clearly.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and proactive approach to problem solving.
