  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults and resolve technical issues.
  • Complete scheduled servicing and reactive repairs in line with manufacturers’ instructions.
  • Identify and plan the parts, tools and resources required for repairs.
  • Work closely with service teams, parts teams and contractors to complete work safely and efficiently.

Experience with gas engines, diesel engines, generators or CHP equipment would be particularly relevant.

Location and working pattern

You can be based anywhere in Great Britain, provided you are comfortable travelling nationally and staying away overnight when required.

Normal working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm. The position also involves participation in a 24-hour callout rota, with weekend and out-of-hours work as required.

What’s on offer

  • Paid travel time, with arrangements explained during the interview process.
  • £300 float for tools.
  • 25 days’ annual leave plus statutory holidays, increasing with service.
  • Company pension with enhanced employer contributions.
  • Private healthcare and life insurance.
  • Employee Assistance Programme and Cycle to Work Scheme.
  • Ongoing technical training and career development.
