H9 Talent Solutions are currently working with a leading consultancy who specialise in mission critical operations projects across the US and beyond.

They are currently looking for an experienced Scheduling Manager to join their team based in Austin, Texas but with hybrid working available. This is a client-facing leadership role where you’ll oversee scheduling for complex construction projects, mentor schedulers, and directly impact project success.



Job Description

As Scheduling Manager, you’ll be responsible for developing, maintaining, and overseeing construction schedules to keep projects on time and aligned with client goals. Key responsibilities include:

  • Schedule Development: Create, update, and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar software.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor schedulers, promoting best practices and software expertise.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and vendors to align schedules with budgets, deadlines, and resources.
  • Progress Tracking: Monitor project milestones, identify potential delays, and implement corrective actions.
  • Risk Management: Conduct schedule reviews, perform critical path analysis, and highlight risks before they impact delivery.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present regular schedule updates and performance reports for stakeholders.
  • Resource Planning: Assist with forecasting and resource allocation to optimize project efficiency.
  • Compliance & Documentation: Ensure all scheduling activities meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards, with proper documentation of changes.

 

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, or related field (preferred)
  • 5+ years of experience in construction scheduling, including 2+ years in a leadership/managerial role
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, or equivalent scheduling tools
  • Strong knowledge of construction project management principles
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and client-facing interpersonal skills
  • PMP or similar certification a plus (not required)
  • Willingness to work in both office and construction site environments
