Safety File Coordinator – EPC Contractor (Power Sector)

H9 Talent Solutions are partnering with a leading EOC contractor who are looking to find a Safety File Coordinator, you will be responsible for the coordination, compilation, management, and delivery of all Health, Safety, Environmental and project close-out documentation associated with EPC power generation and energy infrastructure projects. The role ensures compliance with CDM requirements, client standards, regulatory obligations and project governance procedures throughout engineering, construction, commissioning and handover phases.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the development, maintenance and completion of project Safety Files throughout the EPC project lifecycle.
- Ensure all Health & Safety documentation complies with CDM Regulations, client specifications, company procedures and statutory requirements.
- Manage collection, review and control of contractor and subcontractor documentation for inclusion within final Safety Files.
- Verify that all RAMS, permits, inspection records, test certificates, commissioning records and HSE deliverables are complete and correctly archived.
- Coordinate project handover documentation including Health & Safety File, O&M manuals, commissioning dossiers and close-out packs.
- Liaise with Engineering, Construction, Quality, Commissioning and HSE teams to ensure document completeness and accuracy.
- Maintain document control processes and ensure version control across all project safety documentation.
- Support the Principal Contractor and Project Management Team with compliance reporting and project governance requirements.
- Track outstanding documentation and manage close-out actions to achieve client handover milestones.
- Participate in audits, inspections and assurance activities to verify compliance.
- Review supplier and subcontractor submissions to ensure alignment with project and client requirements.
- Support development of construction phase documentation and project execution plans where required.
- Coordinate lessons learned, incident records and project completion reporting.
HSE & Compliance Responsibilities
- Support compliance with CDM Regulations and Principal Contractor duties.
- Ensure Health & Safety Files are developed in accordance with project requirements and suitable for future operation, maintenance and modification activities.
- Coordinate permit, isolation, commissioning and completion records for final project turnover.
- Maintain audit readiness and support internal and external compliance reviews.
- Promote strong document governance and safety culture across project teams.
