As investment across renewable energy, grid infrastructure and low-carbon technologies accelerates, we're supporting a rapidly growing engineering business in the search for an experienced Commercial Manager.

This is a pivotal role, responsible for protecting commercial performance across a diverse portfolio of energy infrastructure projects while partnering with operational teams to drive profitable growth.

You'll work closely with Project Directors, Delivery Teams and Senior Leadership, ensuring robust contract management, effective risk mitigation and strong client relationships throughout the project lifecycle.


The Role

  • Lead the commercial management of multiple energy transition projects across the UK.
  • Administer NEC, FIDIC and bespoke contracts from tender through to final account.
  • Identify commercial risks and opportunities, implementing strategies to maximise project profitability.
  • Prepare, negotiate and manage variations, claims and contractual correspondence.
  • Support procurement and subcontract management throughout project delivery.
  • Develop accurate forecasting, reporting and cost control processes.
  • Work collaboratively with project teams to resolve commercial issues before they impact delivery.
  • Build long-term relationships with clients, contractors and key stakeholders.


About You

We're interested in commercially minded professionals who combine strong contractual knowledge with the ability to build trusted relationships across complex engineering environments.

You'll ideally have:

  • Experience as a Commercial Manager, Senior Quantity Surveyor or Commercial Lead.
  • Strong knowledge of NEC contracts (FIDIC experience would also be advantageous).
  • Previous experience delivering infrastructure, utilities, energy, EPC or major engineering projects.
  • Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the confidence to challenge where required.
  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a related discipline (preferred).
  • Full UK driving licence.
