Job Title: Construction Superintendent
Location: Texas
Salary: $200,000 - $240,000 + Package
H9 Talent Solutions are supporting our client in the recruitment of a Construction Superintendent to lead field operations on major industrial and mission critical projects. This role will oversee all aspects of site management, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest standards of quality.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with project managers to implement and uphold the company’s safety program across all phases of work.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of direct and indirect reports, promoting a culture of safety, quality, and productivity.
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with trades, field personnel, and the project team.
- Proactively identify potential project issues, interferences, or scheduling setbacks and coordinate timely resolutions.
- Serve as a liaison between engineering, estimating, subcontractors, and field operations to ensure compliance with drawings and specifications.
- Develop and maintain the overall project schedule and resource-loaded three-week lookahead schedules.
- Oversee and implement the Project Execution Plan (PEP), ensuring alignment with the budget, contract, and quality expectations.
- Understand and manage contract and subcontract scope; identify risks and opportunities to meet financial targets.
- Manage project documentation, correspondence, and reporting requirements.
- Maintain effective working relationships with clients, subcontractors, union representatives, and other stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Journeyman electrician certification or bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field.
- 10+ years of progressive field supervision experience, including successful leadership of large-scale construction crews.
- In-depth knowledge of industrial construction operations, specifications, methods, and materials.
- Experience developing construction schedules using industry-standard scheduling software.
- Ability to coordinate and track multiple scopes, including subcontractors and self-perform work, using lookahead schedules.
- Strong understanding of labor cost tracking and productivity metrics; able to analyze and act on labor cost reports.
- Thorough knowledge of safety and environmental practices and ability to enforce compliance onsite.
- Skilled in leading site meetings with clients, consultants, and subcontractors; confident presenting project progress and issues.
- Strong conflict resolution, decision-making, and stakeholder relationship management skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management systems.
