Role: Project Controls Analyst

Salary: $120,000-$140,000

H9 Talent Solutions is supporting a leading EPC contractor specializing in large-scale renewable energy projects (Solar, BESS, Wind) across North America, in the recruitment of a Project Controls Analyst.
This is a hybrid role, working from the PMO office in Houston and home, with very occasional site travel required.
Position Overview
This role will play a key part in supporting the planning, scheduling, cost control, and performance reporting of major renewable energy projects. You’ll work closely with Project Managers, Finance, and Engineering teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Support project cost management, budgeting, and forecasting activities across multiple EPC projects.
- Develop, maintain, and update project schedules using Primavera P6 or equivalent tools.
- Perform variance analysis and provide insights into project performance (cost, schedule, and progress).
- Prepare and deliver periodic project reports, dashboards, and earned value analyses.
- Track changes and support the change management process.
- Collaborate with procurement, construction, and engineering teams to ensure accurate data and timely updates.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of project control processes and systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, Finance, or related field.
- 
3–7 years of experience in project controls, cost analysis, or scheduling within the EPC or energy sector.
- Proficiency with Primavera P6, Excel, and Power BI (experience with EcoSys or similar project control software is a plus).
- Solid understanding of cost engineering principles and earned value management (EVM).
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment supporting multiple projects.
