About the Role

H9 Talent Solutions are supporting a globally recognised subcontractor who are expanding their team for a major new project based in Deeside. We are seeking two experienced Rigging Supervisors to join the team on a long-term contract basis. As a Rigging Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing all rigging operations on site, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with project and industry standards. You will manage rigging teams, coordinate with other site disciplines, and support delivery of lifting activities to schedule and quality requirements.


Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of rigging teams on site.
  • Ensure all lifting and rigging operations are carried out safely and in accordance with company procedures and lifting plans.
  • Conduct daily toolbox talks and ensure all personnel are aware of safety protocols.
  • Liaise with engineering, construction, and HSE teams to plan and execute rigging operations.
  • Review and sign off lifting plans, method statements, and risk assessments.
  • Manage rigging equipment inspections and maintain up-to-date certification records.
  • Report and record any incidents, near misses, or unsafe conditions.
  • Ensure compliance with site and legal health and safety standards.
  • Support project progress and maintain communication with project managers and site supervisors.


Qualifications & Experience

  • NVQ Level 3 in Lifting Operations / Rigging or equivalent.
  • Valid CSCS / CCNSG Safety Passport.
  • Appointed Person (Lifting Operations) or Lift Supervisor qualification (desirable).
  • Proven experience in a supervisory rigging role within heavy industry, construction, or energy sectors.
  • Strong understanding of lifting operations, rigging practices, and HSE legislation.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
