Senior Quantity Surveyor – Nuclear Decommissioning

📍 Flexible UK locations | 💷 Up to £100K

The Opportunity

Are you a commercially minded Senior Quantity Surveyor looking to take on large, complex and high-profile projects in the nuclear sector?

This is your chance to join a leading player in nuclear decommissioning and power, working on programmes that are critical to the UK’s clean energy and sustainability future. You’ll be part of a progressive, collaborative team delivering major decommissioning and waste management contracts across the country.

What You’ll Do

  • Take the commercial lead on contracts worth ~£75m per year.
  • Manage NEC3/NEC4 contracts (client and subcontractor side).
  • Handle early warnings, compensation events, variations and risk management.
  • Lead procurement strategies, tendering and supplier negotiations.
  • Develop innovative approaches to drive performance, including digital tools and automation.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, JV partners and supply chain partners.
  • Mentor and support junior colleagues as part of a growing commercial team.

What We’re Looking For

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or equivalent.
  • Strong contractual knowledge – NEC3/NEC4 experience essential.
  • Procurement and supply chain experience.
  • Commercial risk management expertise.
  • Ideally working towards or holding chartership (MRICS/MCIPS or similar).
  • Experience in nuclear, power, utilities, infrastructure, rail or major projects would be highly advantageous.
