H9 Talent Solutions are hiring for an Energy Finance Analyst to work for our energy client in Ireland. The ideal candidate will have strong quantitative and financial modeling skills, a deep understanding of energy markets and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights that support strategic decisions, investments, and project development.
This role will play a key part in evaluating new opportunities, optimizing existing assets, and supporting corporate finance, strategy, and business development initiatives.
Role and Responsibilities:
 
·       Build and maintain detailed financial and valuation models for energy assets, portfolios, and corporate initiatives (e.g., renewables, storage and power markets).
- Conduct scenario analysis, sensitivity testing, and risk assessment for project and portfolio economics.
- Support capital raising efforts, including investor presentations, due diligence materials, and data-room management.
- Analyse market trends, regulatory developments, and price forecasts to inform investment and strategic decisions.
- Work cross-functionally with engineering, development, and operations teams to integrate technical and commercial assumptions into financial models.
- Prepare analytical reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior leadership and external stakeholders.
- Support corporate strategy, M&A analysis, and portfolio optimization efforts through robust quantitative analysis.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in energy finance, investment analysis, or corporate development.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel-based financial modeling (DCF, IRR, NPV, sensitivity, and scenario analysis).
- Strong understanding of energy markets, including generation economics, pricing structures, and regulatory frameworks.
- Exceptional analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to synthesize complex data into clear, actionable insights.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
 
Preferred:
- Experience with renewable energy, energy storage, or power market analysis.
- Familiarity with Python, R, or data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Exposure to project finance, M&A transactions, or infrastructure investments.
- Master’s degree in finance, Energy Economics, or related discipline (a plus).
