District Partners has partnered with a rapidly growing, private equity-backed pool services platform operating across Central and Northeast Florida to find an Operations Manager. With more than 1,200 pools under management and an active acquisition strategy, the company is focused on operational excellence, disciplined growth, and long-term value creation.
This role is more than an Operations Manager — it is a hands-on General Manager opportunity for a leader who can bridge the gap between “Pool Guy” and “Business Executive.” We are seeking someone who understands field service culture but can operate with P&L fluency, systems discipline, and strategic rigor.
The General Manager will own day-to-day execution across service, repair, renovation, and construction operations while driving technician productivity, service quality, customer retention, and margin expansion. This individual will report directly to the CEO and work closely with leadership to ensure acquisitions, systems, and growth initiatives translate into consistent, high-quality field execution.
What You’ll Do:
- Own daily operations across all service, repair, renovation, and construction activities
- Manage route scheduling, technician deployment, and job prioritization to ensure on-time, high-quality delivery
- Lead, train, and develop field supervisors, crew leads, and technicians
- Enforce and continuously improve SOPs across all locations
- Monitor labor efficiency, job margins, route profitability, and overall P&L performance
- Identify and resolve operational bottlenecks, backlogs, and service issues
- Support onboarding and integration of newly acquired businesses, including teams, routes, and customer accounts
- Partner with leadership to implement systems, tools, and workflows across the field organization
- Track and report key operational KPIs related to service levels, productivity, and financial performance
- Drive customer satisfaction, retention, and consistent service standards across markets
What You’ll Have:
- Experience leading operations in a field-based, route-driven services business (pool services, HVAC, landscaping, pest control, etc.)
- Proven track record managing technicians, supervisors, and multi-location field teams
- Demonstrated success driving efficiency, quality, and accountability
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, private equity-backed growth environment
- Experience integrating acquired teams or route portfolios is highly desirable
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership capabilities
Ideal Profile – The General Manager We’re Seeking
-
P&L Fluency: Comfortable managing budgets, margins, labor costs, and route profitability
-
Service Pedigree: Deep understanding of route-based, field-driven service operations
-
Customer Retention Advocate: Recognizes that recurring revenue is the lifeblood of the business
-
Conflict Resolution Leader: Able to navigate technician, customer, and field challenges with maturity
-
Metric-Obsessed Operator: Runs the business through KPIs, dashboards, and accountability
-
Sales-Minded Service Leadership: Aligns service execution with upsell opportunities and growth
-
Systems-First Integration Specialist: Builds scalable infrastructure, especially during acquisitions
-
Metric-Driven Leadership: Holds teams accountable to performance standards
-
Operational Discipline: Brings structure, cadence, and rigor to field operations
-
Sales Enablement Focus: Ensures operations support revenue growth, not hinder it
-
Strategic Resource Planner: Optimizes headcount, routes, equipment, and deployment for scale
Why This Role?
The client is scaling rapidly through organic growth and acquisitions. This role is critical to ensuring that the company can grow without sacrificing service quality, profitability, or operational control. The Operations Manager will be a core leader in building a disciplined, scalable operating platform across Florida.
