Applications Engineer, Mission-Critical Power Systems

The Basics:

This is a growing, family-oriented engineering organization that develops advanced power distribution solutions for data centers and other mission-critical environments. The Applications Engineer serves as the technical and commercial link between customers, sales, engineering, project management, manufacturing, and operations throughout the pre-order lifecycle.

What You'll Be Owning:

• Own customer RFQs from initial specification review through proposal development, purchase order validation, and project handoff
• Review one-line diagrams, construction drawings, and specifications to complete electrical take-offs and configure engineered solutions
• Develop compliant, competitive proposals for switchgear, PDUs, RPPs, transformers, busway systems, and related power distribution equipment
• Evaluate solutions against NEC, UL, customer, and project requirements while documenting compliance and deviations
• Coordinate technical requirements, pricing, revisions, submittals, and scope changes across customers and internal teams
• Lead the transition from proposal to execution, ensuring each solution is technically sound, manufacturable, and aligned with customer expectations

The Environment:

This is a fast-moving, detail-driven environment where technical accuracy and commercial judgment are equally important. You will manage multiple RFQs and deadlines while working on customized electrical infrastructure for demanding applications. The role offers meaningful customer exposure and a clear path to expand your expertise as the company grows domestically and globally.

What You Bring To The Table:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field is preferred
• 2+ years of relevant experience in applications engineering, electrical engineering, estimating, technical sales, or a related role
• Strong understanding of electrical power distribution systems and engineered-to-order equipment
• Ability to interpret one-line diagrams, schematics, construction drawings, and detailed technical specifications
• Familiarity with NEC requirements, UL standards, and electrical compliance documentation
• Experience with switchgear, PDUs, RPPs, transformers, busway systems, or other mission-critical electrical infrastructure is highly valued
• Familiarity with ERP, CRM, product configuration, or technical quoting platforms
