Senior Construction Manager – Industrial Projects & Equipment Installation
Why You’ll Actually Care
District Partners has been exclusively retained by a growing engineering and technology business helping industrial organizations expand capacity and modernize their operations. Its projects bring complex equipment, production systems, and facility infrastructure together, with success measured by how well the finished operation performs. We’re excited to lead the search for a Senior Construction Manager who will own field execution on a major Oklahoma project, bringing the trades, technical teams, and installation plan together through production readiness.
The Basics
This business combines engineering expertise with hands-on project delivery to solve challenges involving productivity, capacity, and operational reliability. Its work includes new facilities and upgrades to existing operations, with teams engaged from planning and equipment selection through installation and operational testing. For an experienced field leader, the appeal is technically demanding work with a tangible result, alongside engineers and equipment specialists who remain involved through delivery.
What You’ll Be Owning
-
Field Planning And Execution: Turn project milestones into practical look-ahead schedules, coordinated work sequences, and clear daily priorities that keep critical activities moving.
-
Multi-Trade Installation: Align contractors, mechanical and electrical trades, millwrights, rigging crews, specialty subcontractors, and equipment vendors around a shared execution plan.
-
Site Readiness: Confirm work areas, equipment staging, supporting infrastructure, and preceding activities are ready before installation begins.
-
Technical Issue Resolution: Identify installation conflicts, constructability concerns, and emerging schedule risks; work directly with engineering and project stakeholders to resolve them.
-
Safety, Quality, And Accountability: Establish clear field expectations, verify work against drawings and specifications, and maintain accurate progress reporting and issue documentation.
-
Completion And Turnover: Drive punch-list resolution and coordinate remaining field activities through installation completion, commissioning support, and production readiness.
The Environment
You’ll be closely involved in the field, leading work across multiple disciplines and managing dependencies between construction, equipment installation, and supporting systems. The role requires someone who can move comfortably between detailed technical discussions, contractor coordination, and customer communication. Strong planning matters, along with the judgment and resourcefulness to adapt when site conditions change or the original plan needs a better solution.
