District Partners has been exclusively engaged by one of the nation's fastest-growing and most sophisticated wealth management platforms to identify a Head of UHNW Strategy & Transformation. Backed by significant institutional investment and an ambitious national growth strategy, our client has rapidly established itself as a premier destination for ultra-high-net-worth individuals, multigenerational families, entrepreneurs, and sophisticated private wealth advisory teams.
Following a transformational period of acquisition-driven expansion, the organization is making a substantial investment in the leadership, infrastructure, and strategic capabilities necessary to support its next chapter of growth. This newly established leadership opportunity will sit at the intersection of corporate strategy, organizational transformation, business integration, and executive leadership, helping shape the future of a rapidly expanding Ultra-High-Net-Worth (UHNW) division.
Working directly with the Chief Operating Officer and senior business leadership, this individual will serve as a trusted strategic partner, connecting enterprise priorities with the unique needs of sophisticated advisory teams and their clients. This is not a traditional operations management role. We are looking for a strategic operator, transformation leader, and exceptional relationship builder who can bring structure to complexity, influence senior stakeholders, and turn ambitious business objectives into measurable results.
The ideal candidate will combine the analytical rigor of a management consultant with the business judgment, interpersonal sophistication, and hands-on execution capabilities of an experienced operating executive. For someone who thrives in high-growth environments, enjoys solving complex organizational challenges, and wants genuine exposure to executive decision-making, this represents an exceptional opportunity to help shape a business during a defining period of its evolution.
What You'll Own:
Strategic Leadership & Executive Partnership
- Serve as a trusted strategic partner to the Chief Operating Officer and senior UHNW leadership, helping translate enterprise objectives into actionable business priorities.
- Provide executive leadership with meaningful visibility into organizational dynamics, operational challenges, strategic opportunities, and emerging business needs.
- Help shape the division's long-term strategic direction, organizational structure, and evolving operating model.
- Serve as a critical connection between sophisticated advisory teams, business leadership, and enterprise functions, ensuring alignment without compromising the highly personalized nature of the UHNW client experience.
- Evaluate complex business challenges, develop actionable recommendations, and drive initiatives from strategic conception through successful implementation.
Business Transformation & Organizational Change
- Lead high-impact strategic initiatives spanning organizational transformation, post-acquisition integration, operating model evolution, technology adoption, and business process improvement.
- Design and implement change management strategies that build organizational alignment, secure stakeholder buy-in, and support sustainable adoption.
- Partner closely with advisory professionals, business leaders, and functional stakeholders to identify opportunities to improve business effectiveness and scalability.
- Navigate competing priorities and complex organizational dynamics while preserving the distinctive cultures and capabilities that make sophisticated advisory businesses successful.
- Establish clear implementation frameworks, performance measures, and accountability structures to ensure transformation initiatives deliver meaningful outcomes.
Growth, Integration & Operating Model Development
- Play a central role in shaping the integration and evolution of a rapidly expanding national UHNW platform.
- Assess existing organizational structures, workflows, systems, and processes to identify opportunities for greater efficiency, scalability, and strategic alignment.
- Partner across Technology, Finance, Human Resources, Wealth Management Operations, and other enterprise functions to develop and implement effective operating solutions.
- Help integrate newly acquired advisory businesses, balancing enterprise infrastructure with the differentiated service models required by sophisticated UHNW clients.
- Develop scalable frameworks and organizational capabilities capable of supporting continued organic and acquisition-driven growth.
Stakeholder Engagement & Influence
- Develop deep, trusted relationships with senior executives, financial advisors, family office professionals, and business leaders across the organization.
- Become a credible strategic resource to advisory teams, understanding their business models, client relationships, service expectations, and organizational priorities.
- Translate the needs of sophisticated advisory professionals into actionable strategic initiatives and enterprise-level recommendations.
- Build consensus across diverse stakeholder groups through exceptional judgment, communication, diplomacy, and influence.
- Act as a visible and trusted change leader, helping teams navigate organizational evolution while maintaining a consistent focus on client experience and business performance.
Operational Excellence & Execution
- Identify opportunities to simplify complex processes, improve organizational effectiveness, and strengthen cross-functional coordination.
- Lead business process redesign, continuous improvement, and technology-enabled transformation initiatives.
- Establish governance, performance indicators, and execution frameworks that promote accountability and measurable results.
- Partner with existing operational leadership to ensure business continuity while implementing strategic improvements.
- Remain actively involved in execution, demonstrating the ability to move seamlessly between executive-level strategy and hands-on problem-solving.
- Help establish the foundation for a potentially broader strategy and transformation function as the business continues to evolve.
What You'll Bring to the Table:
We are seeking an intellectually curious, commercially minded leader who combines exceptional strategic thinking with a genuine ability to build relationships, influence stakeholders, and execute. The strongest candidates will likely bring experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, business transformation, organizational change, or strategic operations, ideally with exposure to sophisticated financial services or professional services environments.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
- 7+ years of relevant experience in management consulting, business transformation, organizational strategy, change management, strategic operations, or related disciplines.
- At least 2 years of demonstrated leadership experience managing complex initiatives, cross-functional teams, transformation workstreams, or direct reports.
- Proven experience leading strategic initiatives from initial assessment and recommendation through implementation and measurable business outcomes.
- Strong executive presence and the ability to establish credibility with senior leadership and sophisticated business stakeholders.
- Demonstrated success navigating organizational complexity, influencing without direct authority, and building consensus across competing priorities.
- Experience assessing, redesigning, or optimizing complex business processes and operating models.
- Strong analytical skills, commercial judgment, executive communication, and structured problem-solving capabilities.
- Familiarity with wealth management, financial services, investment advisory, or similarly sophisticated, relationship-driven professional services businesses.
- A hands-on leadership approach, with the willingness to operate as both a strategic thought partner and an individual contributor when necessary.
- A relevant master's degree or MBA may substitute for up to two years of qualifying professional experience. Demonstrated leadership experience remains required.
Preferred:
- Experience at a leading management consulting firm, particularly within financial services, wealth management, organizational transformation, or operating model strategy.
- Experience within an RIA, private bank, family office, asset manager, or similarly complex financial services organization.
- Exposure to mergers and acquisitions, post-merger integration, enterprise transformation, or organizational design.
- MBA or other relevant advanced degree.
- Experience with formal change management methodologies, including Prosci/ADKAR, or continuous improvement frameworks such as Lean Six Sigma.
- Experience with strategic program management, enterprise technology implementations, or process automation.
- Familiarity with sophisticated wealth management technology platforms, including Addepar.
- PMP or other relevant project management credentials.
Why This Role?
This is a rare chance to step into a highly visible, newly established leadership role within a premier wealth management platform at an inflection point in its growth. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to:
- Work directly with senior executive leadership, contributing to consequential strategic and organizational decisions.
- Help shape the future of a nationally expanding UHNW business, rather than simply inherit an established operating structure.
- Lead meaningful transformation initiatives across strategy, integration, organizational design, and business execution.
- Gain exposure to some of the most sophisticated areas of private wealth management, including multigenerational family wealth and complex advisory service models.
- Build scalable capabilities with lasting organizational impact, with the potential to help develop a broader strategy and transformation function over time.
- Comes with compensation base plus a target bonus of 30% based on individual and company performance
