Technical Trainer
Apply for this job

A nationally recognized wealth management organization — known for its sophisticated client base, forward-thinking culture, and commitment to excellence — is seeking an accomplished Technology Trainer to join its growing Technology team.

This is a newly created, high-visibility position designed to unify how the firm trains, communicates, and empowers its professionals through technology. Reporting directly to the Head of Technology, the Technology Trainer will shape how employees learn, collaborate, and engage with the firm’s digital ecosystem — playing a key role in how the organization delivers service at the highest level.

This is not a support role. It’s a strategic, instructional design-driven position for someone who can translate complex technology into clear, engaging, and effective learning experiences. You’ll build firmwide training programs from the ground up, designing courses, workshops, and digital content that bring modern tools and best practices to life across all departments.

What You'll Do:

  • Designing and facilitating high-impact technology training sessions (virtual, live, and on-demand) that engage professionals across all levels of the firm.
  • Developing training materials and eLearning content using tools such as Articulate, SharePoint, SnagIt, Captivate, or similar platforms.
  • Hosting regular technology office hours to help employees adopt and optimize digital tools.
  • Partnering with IT, HR, and senior leaders to identify learning needs and build scalable programs that align with firm priorities.
  • Managing content through the firm’s Learning Management System (LMS) and tracking engagement and outcomes.
  • Ensuring all communications around new software, upgrades, and rollouts are clear, business-friendly, and on-brand.

What You'll Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Instructional Design, Education, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in corporate training and development, including at least 3 years as a Technology Trainer or Instructional Designer.
  • Proven ability to design and deliver training rooted in formal instructional design principles (ADDIE, SAM, etc.).
  • Experience creating professional, polished content for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Excellent presentation skills — comfortable leading workshops and “owning the room.”
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and collaboration platforms common in enterprise environments.
  • Background in wealth management, financial services, or another white-collar professional setting is a plus.

Why This Role Stands Out:

This is a chance to build a modern learning function inside an organization that’s thriving, respected, and deeply committed to investing in its people. You’ll have executive visibility, direct access to the CIO, and the autonomy to define the firm’s technology education strategy from the ground up.

It’s an ideal fit for a professional who blends instructional design expertise, presentation polish, and a deep curiosity for how people learn and adopt technology.
