Why You’ll Actually Care

District Partners is partnering with a nationally recognized, mission-driven organization operating in a highly relationship-centric and influence-oriented environment. The organization sits at the intersection of policy, stakeholder engagement, and large-scale coordination, where information flow, timing, and visibility directly impact outcomes. Over time, the business has built a strong operational foundation and a widely adopted Salesforce environment to manage complex interactions across a broad network. However, as the organization continues to grow in scale and sophistication, its internal systems have not kept pace with the speed and nuance required. At the same time, there is increasing urgency to introduce AI into core workflows to better manage information, improve responsiveness, and drive more informed decision-making.

This role sits at the center of that transition. The mandate is not to experiment, but to bring discipline, ownership, and execution to how Salesforce and AI come together to improve how the business operates. There is strong executive alignment around making this shift, but success depends on someone who can translate intent into working systems that teams actually use.

The Basics

  • Location: DC metro area preferred, with flexibility for remote work
  • Work Model: Hybrid leaning remote with periodic in-person collaboration
  • Compensation: $120,000 - $140,000 flexibility depending on experience
  • Type: Direct hire

What You’ll Be Owning

  • Own Salesforce as a mission-critical platform supporting relationship management, engagement tracking, and operational workflows
  • Redesign and optimize Salesforce workflows to better reflect how teams interact with stakeholders and manage information
  • Identify and implement AI-driven enhancements that improve data usage, responsiveness, and workflow efficiency
  • Lead AI initiatives from use case definition through production deployment and adoption
  • Integrate AI capabilities directly into Salesforce-driven processes to improve visibility and decision-making
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure systems align with real-world usage and operational needs
  • Bring consistency and ownership to initiatives that have historically been distributed across teams

Environment

  • A fast-paced, externally facing organization where timing, accuracy, and coordination are critical
  • Salesforce is heavily used but not fully optimized for the complexity of stakeholder interactions
  • AI is a strategic priority, but current efforts are early and not yet operationalized at scale
  • Teams rely heavily on systems to manage relationships, yet workflows remain more manual than they should be
  • Strong leadership support for modernization, with a clear need for execution

What You Bring to the Table

  • Hands-on Salesforce experience is required, including ownership of workflows, automation, reporting, or platform configuration
  • Salesforce Administrator certification strongly preferred
  • Proven experience implementing AI tools in real business settings from pilot through production
  • Ability to embed AI into existing Salesforce workflows in a way that improves usability and adoption
  • Track record of driving adoption across teams and improving how systems are actually used
  • Strong ability to translate operational needs into scalable system solutions

A Few Things Worth Knowing

  • This is a highly visible role tied directly to how the organization executes on its mission
  • The focus is on improving real workflows that support external engagement and internal coordination
  • Success will be measured by adoption, efficiency gains, and improved visibility across teams
  • The opportunity is to modernize how a complex, relationship-driven organization operates at scale
  • Ideal background includes experience in policy, advocacy, membership-based organizations, or other highly relationship-driven environments
