IT Helpdesk Lead | Executive Support & Endpoint Management

District Partners is excited to support a highly respected, nationally influential organization in the search for an experienced IT Helpdesk Lead to join its New York technology team.

Our client operates in a sophisticated, high-profile environment where relationships, responsiveness, and operational excellence are critical. With a significant national presence and a reputation for meaningful influence, the organization offers an opportunity to support a dynamic, highly engaged professional workforce and senior leadership team.

This is not your typical helpdesk position. Based in New York City with a hybrid schedule of 3–4 days onsite per week, they're looking for someone who combines exceptional hands-on technical expertise with the professionalism, judgment, and communication skills to deliver a truly white-glove IT experience. You'll be a trusted point of escalation, help guide other support professionals, and play an important role in ensuring technology works seamlessly across the organization.

Why This Opportunity Stands Out

  • High-Visibility Support: Work directly with senior executives and organizational leadership in a professional, fast-paced environment.
  • Technical Ownership: Take the lead on complex troubleshooting, endpoint management, mobile technologies, and critical support escalations.
  • Leadership Without the Bureaucracy: Mentor colleagues, help improve support standards, and serve as a trusted technical resource while remaining hands-on.
  • National Technology Exposure: Collaborate with a broader IT organization supporting employees and operations across multiple locations.
  • Career Progression: Gain valuable experience and visibility within an organization that supports continued professional development.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead day-to-day technical support activities, serving as a senior escalation resource for complex hardware, software, network, and user-related issues.
  • Deliver exceptional hands-on IT support to employees and senior leadership across Windows, macOS, iOS, and enterprise productivity environments.
  • Support and administer Mobile Device Management (MDM) platforms such as Jamf, Workspace ONE/AirWatch, or comparable solutions, including provisioning, security, access controls, and ongoing maintenance.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to help strengthen helpdesk capabilities, troubleshooting effectiveness, and service quality.
  • Partner with IT leadership to improve support processes, implement technology solutions, and maintain reliable, secure technology operations.
  • Manage regional IT assets, inventory, equipment deployments, and hardware and software evaluations.
  • Support office technology, including networking, printers, audiovisual systems, conferencing equipment, and other business-critical systems.
  • Maintain enterprise emergency communications technology and coordinate mobile connectivity for international travelers.
  • Document technical solutions, identify recurring issues, and recommend improvements that enhance employee productivity and the overall IT experience.

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of progressive IT support experience, including senior helpdesk, desktop support, or technical escalation responsibilities.
  • Advanced troubleshooting capabilities across Windows and macOS environments, including laptops, desktops, enterprise applications, and peripheral devices.
  • Hands-on experience with MDM technologies, mobile device administration, endpoint security, and access management.
  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, systems administration, and enterprise IT support practices.
  • Experience providing high-touch technical support to executives, senior leadership, and demanding business stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to guide colleagues, manage escalations, and independently resolve complex technical issues.
  • Outstanding communication, interpersonal skills, and executive presence, with the ability to explain technical matters clearly and professionally.
  • A genuine white-glove service mentality, strong attention to detail, patience, discretion, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred; equivalent professional experience considered.

The Person Who Will Thrive Here

You're the person everyone turns to when something isn't working, especially when the issue is complicated, time-sensitive, or involves senior leadership.

You enjoy solving technical problems, but what sets you apart is how you engage with people. You're approachable, composed under pressure, highly responsive, and understand that great IT support is about creating confidence, not just closing tickets.

You take ownership, communicate exceptionally well, and genuinely enjoy helping others succeed. You're also ready to bring that experience into a more visible lead role with greater responsibility and long-term growth potential.
