We're working with an early-stage, well-funded startup building an intelligent process automation platform designed to help organizations streamline complex operational workflows through advanced machine learning systems.
This is a founding engineering role at a critical development phase. The core product is functional and in early customer testing, but requires significant architectural refinement and optimization to meet production standards and scale reliably.
What You'll Do
- Elevate an existing ML platform from MVP to production-grade infrastructure
- Design and build scalable system architectures for workflow automation
- Develop stateful, orchestrated systems with robust process management
- Establish architectural principles around performance, resilience, and maintainability
- Implement comprehensive monitoring, audit trails, and system visibility
- Create clear data provenance and decision tracking mechanisms
- Define the technical strategy and multi-year product vision
- Maintain hands-on development while establishing foundational systems
What You'll Have
- Proven track record scaling ML/AI systems from early prototype to enterprise production
- Deep expertise in distributed systems, workflow orchestration, and system design
- Ability to move quickly while introducing necessary governance and structure
- Experience integrating with legacy systems and complex data architectures
- Strong system design intuition and product-technical judgment
- Comfort navigating ambiguity with high autonomy

Compensation
- Base salary: $150K–$175K (negotiable for exceptional candidates)
