District Partners has been engaged by a leading wealth management and family office platform to identify a Client Billing Manager to oversee the full lifecycle of client billing operations across the firm.
This organization serves ultra high net worth individuals, families, and entrepreneurs, providing integrated wealth management, financial planning, and family office services. The firm operates nationally and advises clients with highly complex financial lives, requiring a high level of operational precision and coordination across advisory, investment, and planning teams.
The Client Billing Manager will own the end to end billing process for client relationships and serve as the central point of coordination for billing across the advisory platform. This role will ensure billing accuracy, manage billing structures, and support advisors and client service teams in implementing and maintaining appropriate client fee arrangements.
In addition to managing the day to day billing process, this role will serve as a key operational partner to leadership in evaluating and improving billing workflows. The organization continues to evolve its technology stack and systems, and this role will play an important part in ensuring the firm is fully leveraging its billing platform and tools.
The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in wealth management billing and will be comfortable operating in an environment serving sophisticated clients and advisors. This individual should be highly detail oriented, process driven, and capable of identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency across the billing function.
This position is based in Century City and requires five days per week in office.
What You'll Do:
- Own and manage the full lifecycle of client billing across the advisory platform from setup through reconciliation and invoicing
- Maintain and update client billing structures within the firm’s portfolio and reporting systems
- Partner with advisors and client service teams to ensure client billing arrangements are accurately documented and implemented
- Review client agreements and ensure billing terms are properly reflected in billing systems
- Execute periodic billing processes including fee calculations, reconciliations, invoice generation, and reporting
- Monitor billing accuracy and proactively identify and resolve discrepancies
- Act as the primary internal resource for advisory teams regarding billing related questions, updates, and adjustments
- Support new client onboarding by establishing accurate billing profiles and fee structures
- Work closely with operations, finance, and technology teams to ensure accurate data flows into the billing process
- Evaluate and enhance billing workflows to improve efficiency, consistency, and scalability
- Help ensure the firm is fully leveraging its billing and reporting systems as the platform continues to evolve
- Develop and document best practices for billing processes across the advisory platform
- Serve as a change agent by identifying opportunities to modernize and streamline billing operations
- Support internal reporting and analysis related to client billing and revenue
- Other duties as assigned
What You'll Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field preferred
- Five or more years of experience in client billing, revenue operations, or billing administration within wealth management, family office, or financial services
- Strong experience managing complex billing structures in advisory environments
- Experience working with wealth management technology platforms such as Addepar or similar portfolio reporting systems preferred
- Experience with portfolio accounting systems and wealth management operational workflows strongly preferred
- Understanding of fee structures common to wealth management and family office services
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools
