District Partners is engaged on this exclusive search for a Vice President of Data with the mandate to transform how a respected, consumer-facing enterprise harnesses information. This organization, with a legacy of success, is now entering a new chapter—investing in digital platforms, artificial intelligence, and advanced analytics to shape its future

This is not a role centered on managing a “Center of Excellence.” It is a mandate to deliver best-in-class data solutions while charting the vision for next-generation capabilities. The VP will be entrusted to stand up a modern data lakehouse (Databricks), build enterprise-grade ELT pipelines, and translate these platforms into tangible business outcomes

The individual stepping into this position must be equally adept at technical precision and visionary leadership. On one hand, they must understand the tools and frameworks well enough to extract exactly what is needed; on the other, they must be able to articulate the value of data in a way that secures the confidence of both executives and the board—stakeholders who weigh investments carefully and expect a compelling case for action

What You'll Do:

  • Establish and optimize a modern data lakehouse and ELT environment
  • Deliver analytics platforms designed for enterprise adoption and measurable impact
  • Define and advance the company’s AI and digital data strategy alongside senior leadership
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to executives and board members, shaping investment decisions through clear, business-aligned storytelling
  • Lead with both technical credibility and strategic vision, ensuring execution aligns with enterprise priorities

Preferred Background:

  • Demonstrated success leading enterprise data and analytics transformations
  • Expertise in Databricks, data lakehouse architecture, and ELT pipeline design
  • Equal strength in hands-on technical depth and big-picture vision
  • Proven ability to influence senior executives and boards in complex decision-making environments
  • Experience in data-rich consumer or retail settings is highly advantageous

Location:

Remote with travel to Mid-Atlantic headquarters for key meetings and initiatives

Total Compensation:

$250k
