District Partners has been engaged to lead the search for a Real Estate Fund Accountant to oversee fund and asset-level accounting and reporting within a dynamic investment environment. This senior-level role provides leadership to the Investment Accounting team and requires strong technical expertise in GAAP, investment structures, and fund operations.

What You'll Do:

• Lead and manage the Investment Accounting team, providing oversight, guidance, and mentorship
• Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of fund-level and asset-level accounting, reporting, and compliance
• Oversee general ledger (GL) review, reconciliations, and financial close processes
• Implement and enhance internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures
• Collaborate with leadership to identify and recommend process improvements and system enhancements
• Manage accounting requirements related to public/SEC entities, ensuring regulatory compliance
• Review financial statements and reports prepared under GAAP standards
• Serve as a technical resource for complex accounting issues across multiple investment vehicles

What We're Looking For:

• Experience Level: Senior Manager or Director in fund or investment accounting
• Background: Proven experience in real estate, private equity, or private credit
• Strong technical knowledge of GAAP accounting principles
• Assistant Controller or Controller background with oversight responsibilities preferred
• Hands-on experience with Yardi Investment Accounting module or comparable accounting software
• Demonstrated ability to implement and manage effective controls and improve accounting processes
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills

• Location: On-site in Phoenix, AZ is highly preferred.
