District Partners has partnered with a client that is launching a high-quality pediatric therapy clinic in Boca Raton focused on delivering exceptional care across speech, occupational therapy, and physical therapy. We are seeking a Director of Operations to own all non-clinical operations of the practice — from clinic launch through day-to-day execution and long-term scale. This is a hands-on leadership role for an experienced outpatient healthcare operator with deep expertise in insurance, revenue cycle, scheduling workflows, and clinic performance management. The right leader will help build the operational foundation for what is intended to become a multi-clinic pediatric therapy platform across South Florida and beyond.


This individual will partner closely with clinical leadership to ensure an exceptional patient and family experience while driving operational efficiency and financial performance. Must have experience in Pediatrics.


Position Overview

The Director of Operations will be responsible for building, managing, and optimizing all non-clinical functions of the clinic, including:

·      Standing up a new outpatient healthcare clinic from the ground up — including operational infrastructure, staffing, workflows, and systems prior to patient launch

·      Direct experience launching a clinic that did not previously exist (site setup, operational design, intake processes, insurance credentialing, and operational go-live)

·      Experience scaling a newly launched clinic into additional locations, including involvement in the launch of a second clinic location

·      Staffing and hiring of administrative team

·      Scheduling and intake workflows

·      Insurance verification and authorization processes

·      Revenue cycle oversight

·      KPI development and reporting

·      Operational scalability

This individual will partner closely with clinical leadership to ensure exceptional patient and family experience while driving operational efficiency and financial performance.

 

Key Responsibilities

Clinic Launch & Infrastructure

  • Lead operational buildout prior to clinic opening
  • Implement EMR/EHR and practice management systems
  • Establish intake, scheduling, billing, and documentation workflows
  • Build SOPs and operational playbooks

Daily Clinic Operations

  • Oversee front desk, intake, and administrative staff
  • Manage therapist schedules and capacity optimization
  • Ensure smooth patient onboarding and family communication
  • Monitor clinic flow and resolve operational bottlenecks

Insurance & Revenue Cycle Management

  • Oversee benefits verification and authorizations
  • Manage claims submission, denial tracking, and AR follow-up
  • Drive improvements in reimbursement rates and collections
  • Monitor key revenue cycle metrics (AR days, denial rate, clean claim rate)

Staffing & Team Leadership

  • Hire, train, and manage non-clinical staff
  • Establish accountability and performance standards
  • Develop team culture focused on service excellence and efficiency

Financial & KPI Ownership

  • Track clinic-level KPIs (utilization, cancellation rates, revenue per visit, margin)
  • Build reporting dashboards and provide weekly/monthly performance updates
  • Partner on budgeting, forecasting, and scaling strategy

 

Growth & Scalability

  • Develop repeatable systems for future clinic expansion
  • Leverage prior experience building and scaling clinics from initial launch through expansion to multiple locations.
  • Support site selection, launch planning, and staffing for additional locations
  • Help build the operational infrastructure of a multi-site pediatric therapy platform
