District Partners is engaged with a growing organization seeking a Senior Accountant to join its accounting and finance team. This is a hands-on role with exposure across operational accounting, job costing, financial analysis, month-end close, and process improvement. The Senior Accountant will work closely with both finance and operational leaders to provide visibility into project performance, maintain accurate financial reporting, and support continued growth.


What You'll Be Owning:

  • Manage job and project accounting from initial setup through completion, including cost tracking, budget-to-actual analysis, and variance reporting
  • Partner with operational leaders to provide financial insight into project performance, profitability, labor utilization, and potential cost savings
  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, including preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Maintain fixed asset and depreciation schedules and related reconciliations
  • Perform financial analysis across revenue, expenses, costs, and other business drivers to support forecasting and decision-making
  • Support month-end close and ensure financial information is complete and accurate
  • Assist with billing and accounts receivable activities as needed
  • Support internal and external audit requests and maintain appropriate financial documentation
  • Assist with internal controls, accounting policies, and compliance with U.S. GAAP
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting, and systems


What You'll Bring to the Table:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 3-5+ years of progressive accounting experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and general accounting principles
  • Experience with ERP/accounting systems and Excel
  • Experience with job costing, project accounting, or operational accounting strongly preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work cross-functionally
  • CPA or progress toward CPA is a plus
