District Partners is retained by a high growth organization within the fintech sector. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Controller to join their leadership team in confidential search.
This role will report directly to the Group Controller and will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial management and ensuring the integrity of financial operations. The Assistant Controller will play a critical role in driving the company's financial success and supporting its strategic initiatives.

What You’ll Do:
- Provide leadership and oversight for the company's financial operations, including accounting, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
- Manage a team of finance professionals, ensuring their continued development and performance
- Oversee the consolidation, preparation and analysis of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP and international accounting standards
- Collaborate with the leadership to develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company's objectives
- Ensure the integrity of financial data and internal controls, implementing best practices and identifying areas for improvement
- Monitor cash flow, working capital, and financial risk, providing recommendations to optimize liquidity and mitigate risks
- Conduct financial analysis, identify trends, and provide insights to support decision-making and drive operational efficiency
- Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies
- Stay updated on industry trends, accounting standards, and regulatory changes, recommending adjustments to financial policies and procedures as needed
- Participate in mergers and acquisitions due diligence and integration processes as required
What You’ll Have:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
- CPA designation required
- Over 6 years of accounting and finance experience, a combination of public accounting and industry experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations, including GAAP and IFRS
- Experience managing and developing a high-performing team, within a start-up, high growth or ambiguous environment is preferred
- Demonstrated ability to analyze financial data, interpret results, and provide strategic recommendations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on driving results
- Exceptional integrity, ethics, and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Proficiency in financial software and advanced MS Excel skills
