District Partners is supporting a search for a Performance Analyst to join a federal client driving a large-scale digital transformation over the next five years. This position requires U.S. citizenship, with an active Public Trust (or the ability to obtain one, ideally with current eQIP in place).

This role offers the opportunity to work on a high-visibility program where system reliability and scalability are critical. You’ll play a hands-on role designing and executing performance tests, uncovering bottlenecks, and collaborating with development and DevOps teams to ensure secure, mission-ready platforms.

What You'll Do:

• Design, execute, and analyze performance tests using JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling, Locust, and related tools
• Conduct performance/load, regression, and integration testing across applications and platforms
• Partner with DevOps teams to integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines
• Maintain and enhance test automation frameworks to improve performance validation
• Deliver detailed reports with analysis, insights, and recommendations for remediation

Required Experience:

• 5–7 years of professional experience in performance engineering or related disciplines
• Strong expertise with load/performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling, Locust)
• Familiarity with database systems such as MySQL, Oracle, or PostgreSQL (preferred)
• Experience working within Agile/Scrum methodology and using version control (Git)
• Strong problem-solving skills to identify, reproduce, and isolate performance issues
• Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders

Key Details

Location: Ashburn, VA | Hybrid (3 days onsite / 2 days remote)

Compensation: $47/hour, 1099

Contract: 1-year contract with opportunity to convert to a government contractor role
