District Partners has been exclusively engaged to lead this search on behalf of a Tampa-based insurance advisory firm seeking an Accounting Manager to join its growing finance team. For the past two decades, the firm has expanded nationally through acquisitions and now serves millions of clients with insurance, risk management, employee benefits, retirement, and wealth solutions—all powered by a people-first culture.

As Accounting Manager, you will lead key accounting functions, oversee a small team, and provide insights that directly support business growth. This is a hands-on role with exposure to leadership and cross-functional teams.

What You’ll Do:

• Manage monthly and quarterly close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and financial analyses
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP, internal controls, and audit requirements
• Partner across teams to resolve accounting issues and improve processes
• Contribute to policy updates, reporting enhancements, and system efficiencies
• Support external audits and prepare financial statement disclosures

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance; CPA strongly preferred
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience, including team leadership
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and internal controls
• Experience in insurance, financial services, or other regulated industries a plus
• Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Workday Financials) preferred
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to communicate across all levels
