District Partners is supporting a high-growth organization that is making significant investments in how it uses data to drive customer, revenue, and operational decisions. The business has reached an inflection point where historical reporting is no longer enough. Leadership needs stronger predictive capabilities, more sophisticated forecasting, and clearer visibility into the factors driving growth and performance. This role offers the opportunity to shape how data informs strategic decisions across the organization while building analytical capabilities that will influence the business for years to come.

Why You'll Actually Care

The company has built a strong foundation of data but is now focused on extracting greater value from it. Leadership is looking to move beyond understanding what happened and toward understanding what is likely to happen next. There is a growing need for predictive insights that improve forecasting, customer retention, resource allocation, and growth planning. The person stepping into this role will help establish a more sophisticated analytics capability while partnering directly with decision-makers across the business. This is an opportunity to create measurable impact rather than simply generate reports.

The Basics

This organization operates in a data-rich environment where business leaders increasingly rely on analytics to guide strategic decisions. The team is seeking a Data Scientist who can combine technical depth, statistical rigor, and business acumen to help drive better outcomes through predictive analytics, modeling, and data-driven decision support.

What You'll Be Owning

  • Develop analytical frameworks that improve visibility into customer behavior, business performance, and future growth opportunities.
  • Build forecasting capabilities that help leadership make more informed decisions around planning, investment, and operational strategy.
  • Create predictive models that identify patterns, risks, and opportunities hidden within large and complex datasets.
  • Improve the organization's ability to measure the effectiveness of growth initiatives and strategic investments.
  • Transform complex data into actionable business recommendations that influence decisions across multiple functional areas.
  • Help establish scalable analytical processes, methodologies, and best practices that support future growth.

The Environment

  • The organization has meaningful amounts of data and strong executive support for analytics, but there is an opportunity to significantly increase the sophistication of its modeling and decision-support capabilities.
  • This is not a reporting-focused environment. Success will require balancing technical excellence with practical business application. The individual hired will work closely with leadership and stakeholders across the organization and will be expected to help bridge the gap between data and decision-making.

What You Bring To The Table

  • Experience building predictive analytics, forecasting models, machine learning solutions, or advanced statistical frameworks within a business environment.
  • Strong expertise using Python to develop analytical models, automate data workflows, perform exploratory analysis, and support decision-making initiatives.
  • Advanced experience working with large-scale datasets and modern query languages.
  • Strong understanding of statistical analysis, experimentation, predictive modeling, forecasting methodologies, and quantitative problem-solving.
  • Experience working within cloud-based analytics environments and modern data ecosystems.
  • Ability to communicate technical findings to non-technical stakeholders and influence business decisions.
  • Demonstrated success translating data into measurable business outcomes.
