Senior Program Director, Transformation
Why You'll Actually Care
District Partners is leading the search for a PE-backed, rapidly growing healthcare organization at a point where customer growth is creating real scale and complexity. As the organization adds larger and more sophisticated healthcare clients, it needs a senior leader who can take control of complex implementations and bring structure, accountability, and consistency to how they are delivered. This is a highly visible role working closely with the CTO and senior leadership, with significant exposure to client executives and an opportunity to help shape how the broader implementation function scales.
The Basics
This is a newly created senior program leadership position focused on large, client-facing healthcare technology implementations, some of which can span a year or longer. This is not an internal PMO role, sales position, or traditional customer onboarding function. You will take ownership once clients are brought into the organization and lead the program work required to successfully deliver across internal teams, executive leadership, and senior client stakeholders.
What You'll Be Owning
- Own large, complex healthcare technology implementations from initial program structure through successful delivery and outcomes.
- Establish and manage the program operating rhythm across milestones, dependencies, decisions, risks, scope changes, deliverables, and executive escalations.
- Work closely with the CTO and senior leadership to create visibility, resolve issues, and keep critical programs moving.
- Coordinate multiple workstreams across Product, Engineering, Implementation, client-facing teams, leadership, and customer stakeholders.
- Turn conversations and commitments into clear requirements, deliverables, owners, deadlines, and next steps.
- Lead senior client working sessions and executive steering discussions while holding both internal and client teams accountable for decisions and commitments.
- Control scope, identify risks early, communicate the impact of changes, and provide executives with concise, fact-based reporting and a clear recommended path forward.
- Help establish a repeatable implementation methodology and potentially build the broader program function as customer volume continues to grow.
The Environment
This is a fast-moving, PE-backed growth environment where customer demand is creating the need for greater structure around increasingly large and complex implementations. There are no direct reports initially, so leadership comes through credibility, influence, judgment, and the ability to drive accountability across teams. You will need to be equally comfortable in an executive conversation, navigating a difficult client issue, or getting into the details with Product and Engineering to understand what is blocked, what decisions need to be made, and who owns the next step.
What You Bring To The Table
- 10+ years leading complex, client-facing technology programs or enterprise implementations.
- Strong healthcare experience, ideally working with large health systems, healthcare providers, healthcare technology, digital health, population health, or care-management environments.
- Exceptional executive presence, with the confidence and credibility to work directly with C-suite leaders and senior client executives.
- Experience serving as a trusted counterpart to senior technology leadership while independently owning and driving major programs.
- Demonstrated success managing large implementations with multiple workstreams and significant technical, organizational, and stakeholder dependencies.
- Ability to create structure, establish accountability, and drive work to completion in ambiguous or rapidly changing environments.
- Confidence managing scope, challenging unrealistic expectations, escalating issues, and delivering difficult messages without damaging client relationships.
- Familiarity with healthcare data, clinical workflows, EHR integrations, HIPAA, PHI, or similar healthcare technology environments is valuable.
