District Partners has been exclusively retained by a distinguished national wealth management firm — home to one of the most highly regarded multi-family offices in the country serving ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) families and individuals. This firm provides bespoke wealth planning, investment management, estate strategies, and complex generational trust work for families with $50MM–$1B+ in assets.
In response to continued growth and demand from UHNW clients, the firm has recently launched a private trust company based in South Dakota. We are now building out a core legal operations team and seeking a Paralegal / Fiduciary Liaison to serve as the bridge between the RIA, attorneys, and the trust company.
This role is based full-time in the Century City office and is ideal for someone with a background in estate planning, trust administration, or fiduciary legal support who wants to operate at an elevated level within a true multi-family office environment.
What You’ll Do:
- Serve as the primary liaison between the RIA, outside counsel, estate attorneys, and the South Dakota trust company.
- Support trust establishment, administration, compliance, and documentation for complex family structures and high-net-worth clients.
- Review and coordinate trust agreements, estate planning documents, LLC operating agreements, powers of attorney, distribution requests, and beneficiary communications.
- Ensure fiduciary activities are compliant with state and federal regulations, internal governance standards, and best practices.
- Maintain organized digital files, track critical deadlines, and monitor trust-related transactions and documentation.
- Collaborate with wealth strategists, client service teams, and tax/regulatory professionals to implement planning strategies.
- Support and enhance operational processes as the trust company continues to scale nationally.
What You'll Have:
- Paralegals with experience in trust & estates, fiduciary law, probate, or private client services.
- Professionals coming from law firms, trust companies, private banks, or family offices.
- Someone who thrives in a high-accountability, high-confidentiality environment serving UHNW families.
- A detail-obsessed executor who loves organization, process, and protecting fiduciary integrity.
- A team player who wants to be at the core of something growing and exciting — building out a private trust company alongside top wealth strategists in the country.
Preferred Background:
- 3–7+ years of paralegal or fiduciary administration experience.
- Trusts & Estates, probate, fiduciary compliance, or advanced legal support experience preferred.
- Familiarity with South Dakota, Delaware, Nevada or other trust-friendly jurisdictions a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree or Paralegal Certification required; advanced legal training or CTFA a plus.
- Impeccable ethics, discretion, and client-facing professionalism.
Why This Firm:
- National platform with boutique family office service.
- Direct exposure to complex estate structures, dynasty trusts, multi-generational planning, and UHNW strategy.
- Leadership that invests in professional growth, credentials, and long-term career development.
- Entrepreneurial culture backed by the stability of a top-tier RIA and trust company.
