A nationally recognized Am Law 100 firm is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Associate Attorney with 5-7 years of litigation experience to join its dynamic team in Miami. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a prestigious firm known for its litigation expertise.

Responsibilities:

  • Represent corporate clients in federal and state courts, handling civil actions related to property damage.
  • Collaborate with forensic experts to assess the legal and financial viability of various causes of action in both single and multi-party litigation.
  • Draft pleadings, discovery requests, discovery responses, motions, and briefs.
  • Prepare for, attend, and present at court hearings.
  • Take and defend depositions.
  • Maintain effective communication with clients and opposing counsel.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Strong academic credentials demonstrating legal aptitude.
  • Admission to the Florida Bar is required.
  • Minimum of five years of litigation experience, preferably in prosecuting or defending product defect claims, property damage claims, construction issues, or property insurance claims.
  • Experience working with forensic experts (e.g., fire origin and cause, mechanical, electrical, structural, chemical, human factors, accounting, and standard of care) is highly preferred.
  • Proficiency in drafting legal documents, conducting legal research, and presenting oral arguments.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
