Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company’s growth and sustainability goals.
- Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
- Manage relationships with investors, stakeholders, and financial institutions.
- Lead and execute M&A activities involving biogas plants to drive strategic growth.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
- Provide strategic financial insights to the executive team to inform decision-making.
- Develop and maintain internal control policies and procedures.
- Monitor and analyse financial performance metrics.
- Lead financial audits and manage relationships with external auditors.
- Oversee the company’s capital structure and financing strategies.
- Develop and implement risk management strategies.
- Collaborate with other departments to optimise operational efficiency.
- Provide financial training and mentorship to finance team members.
- Lead initiatives to improve financial processes and systems.
- Coordinate with external consultants and advisors on financial projects.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience as a CFO or in a senior financial leadership role, preferably within the renewable energy sector.
- Strong understanding of corporate finance, financial planning, and risk management.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- A degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA are highly desirable.
- Prior experience working for a Biogas company would be highly advantageous.
- Experience in a start up environment is advantageous, as it requires a hands-on approach, adaptability, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving setting.
