ASSISTANT MANAGER, DONOR MANAGEMENT & PHILANTHROPY
This role bridges major donor cultivation and mass engagement by assisting with major gift stewardship, identifying partnership opportunities, and delivering meaningful event experiences. The ideal candidate is both relationship-driven and detail-oriented, with strong project management skills and a passion for building lasting donor relationships that fuel the charity's mission and growth.
1. Major Gifts & Foundations, Corporate Partnerships
- Assist donor managers in arranging for donor meetings - prepare decks, proposals, and donor research.
- Follow-up with donors with timely impact reports and stewardship efforts. • Identify new corporate partners, foundations, fundraising or sponsorship opportunities
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to scope programmes for funding and track progress post-implementation.
2. Events Management
- Lead the planning, budgeting, and execution of donor-centric events, donor appreciation brunches/teas, and third-party or partner-initiated fundraising events.
- Develop event concepts aligned with charity’s brand and fundraising goals — including themes, storylines, programme flow, donor recognition moments, and stewardship opportunities.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams across fundraising, communications, logistics, and programmes to ensure seamless event execution.
- Secure and manage partnerships with vendors, sponsors, and volunteers, including venue providers, entertainers, emcees, and catering teams.
- Evaluate event performance through data collection, feedback surveys, income/expenditure tracking, and donor insights for continuous improvement.
3. Stewardship & Donor Communications
- Curate thank-you packages tailored for major donors, corporates and foundations.
- Track progress of stewardship and acknowledgement platforms for major donors.
- Create donor engagement kits and impact reports to communicate the value of their giving.
Qualifications:
Degree in Communications, Business, Non-Profit Management or related fields.
Experience:
- At least 4-6 years in fundraising, event management, or partnership development.
- Proven track record in event management – preferably fundraising events
- Preferably with experience in the social service sector
