This 3-month project opportunity is part of the Social Service Reternship Programme, where our Reternees contribute their expertise to charities through a short-term project (Stipend-based, SGD 1,500/month). Upon project completion, both participant & charity will decide on longer-term arrangements if suitable. About Project: Expanding Community Giving – Event Support

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Fundraising and  Event Specialist to lead short-term fundraising efforts focused on peer-to-peer (P2P) campaigns and event operations. This role will be instrumental in empowering community fundraisers,  supporting event operations, and expanding our fundraising outreach leading up to Walk of a Lifetime 2025. The ideal candidate will have experience in fundraising, community engagement, and event management to drive measurable impact within the project period. 


Key Responsibilities 

1. Peer-to-Peer Fundraising 

  • Execute a P2P fundraising strategy to engage individuals and groups in raising funds. 
  • Identify and support ambassadors or champions who can mobilise their networks. 
  • Provide guidance and encouragement to P2P fundraisers.

2. Event Operations (Walk of a Lifetime 2025) 

  • Support event planning and execution, ensuring smooth operations before, during, and after the event. 
  • Coordinate logistics and on-site operations. 
  • Work closely with internal teams to deliver an impactful event experience. 

3. Community Engagement & Fundraising Support

  • Reach out to individuals, groups, and community partners to encourage participation in fundraising efforts. 
  • Build and maintain relationships with key supporters to sustain engagement.


Successful Candidate Requirements

  • Proven experience in fundraising, sales, or business development. 
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills to engage corporate partners and community fundraisers. • Ability to craft compelling pitches to secure funding and in-kind contributions. 
  • Self-motivated and proactive in identifying and pursuing fundraising opportunities. 
  • Strong organisational and project management skills to deliver measurable results within the project period.
